The next step up
2 months review. I began teaching myself the piano during covid, from zero. I am an adult learner, and we have an acoustic piano which our sons used over their childhood and until they left home. I initially purchased the Roland Go Piano 88 (I reviewed it on Amazon and it is a fantastic value I.M.O.) because it enabled my to practice very early in the mornings without waking up my family or our neighbors (live in a high-rise condo), and feature by feature there was nothing better for the price. Recently my oldest son moved to his own apartment and I jumped on the opportunity to give him the go:88, and purchase for myself the RP107. Reasons: Iโve been practicing quite diligently over these past few years, and, although I donโt have a private teacher and I do not use any of the teaching apps available, I am making progress. I felt that it is time to make my practice more effective with weighted keys and pedals - 2 capacities that the go:88 does not have, and that, as an absolute beginner, I did fine without for a while. I knew I will purchase a Roland based on my go:88 experience: The integrated bluetooth, the simplicity of the interface, the build and touch quality, and the high polyphony (256) relative to the cost. Remember that you are buying a computer, not an acoustic instrument, so sampling quality is important. I chose the rp107 over the cheaper 107 because it is more practical for me - I can close the lid and keep the music on the stand. Assembly was very easy, but you must have someone to help you when placing the keyboard assembly on the stand. Extremely well packaged, really nice look in our living and the sound is more rich, vibrant and nuanced than the go:88. I always play with my old wired Bose over-the-ear headset on, so it does not bother me that the speakers wattage is relatively low. It sounded good enough when I played it without the headset, but it is not a priority for me. The 701 model was released a few months earlier, and is a little more expensive but almost identical- at least per the features I care about, so again, got me back to the rp107. I highly recommend the piano. Enjoy it!

Love it... It looks like a real piano
We bought this piano for my 3 year old who just started piano lessons... it's a very good quality. Just for my own preference, I wish the on/off, volume and Bluetooth buttons were not visible as it is a little distracting to my baby and she starts playing with those.... other than that, I'm loving it. It needed 2 people to assembly and put together as a couple of parts were very heavy but overall very easy assembly. we were done in 15 min.

Almost real piano feel at a great price.
One of the most affordable digital pianos (at the time of purchase ~$1200) that provides a feel that is very similar to a real piano. Great for practice at home.

I love it.
Amazing !!! Way better than an entry level keyboard, very close to the real piano. Sound quality is amazing and the keys are weighted.
