I have been dying my hair at home since I was 14 (I’m 36) so I’ve pretty much tried it all. I have been late to the party on Madison Reed because I just didn’t think it could possibly be all that different than any other home dye. I’m happy to say I was wrong. I’m thrilled with the results. My hair is incredibly soft and healthy, even after I lightened it first. The formula is the texture of a thick body lotion when you apply it, and it spreads very nicely and clings to every hair - there is basically no smell. My literal only complaint is I really hated the smell of the shampoo and conditioner that came with it, but that’s a small price to pay for the quality of the rest of the experience.

Love that it comes with real gloves not the cheap plastic ones like other kits. Also the only color kit I have found that doesn’t smell disgusting.

This is a terrible product. It did not make my hair golden blonde, but instead mousy brown. The day before I went on vacation. It’s terrible!!! I color my hair all the time and know what I’m doing, the cheaper products work way better. Better color by far. Thumbs down!!!
