Preciva Digital Psychrometer Thermo-Hygrometer, LCD Mini Temperature and Humidity Meter with Dew Point and Wet Bulb Temperature Hygrometer for Industry, Agriculture, Meteorology (9V Battery Included)

I am so glad I purchase this Humidity meter it works really great and seems to be very accurate. And the price was just right! Glad I bought it! Would purchase again!

I’m a gadget geek and if I see a gadget I don’t have, I usually have to have it. So you guessed it, I saw this Preciva Digital Psychrometer Thermo-Hygrometer Temperature Meter and I had to have it. Even though I didn’t know exactly what this meter did at the time…. What I discovered is this Preciva meter is a temperature and humidity meter that features a wet-bulb and dry-bulb giving it the ability to gauge dew point temperature. I can definitely see many uses for this meter when these reading are important; I will mostly use it in my garage and house to monitor and adjust temperature and humidity. To use I just had to install the included 9-volt battery and the press the bottom “On” button to see the readings. You will find a larger numeric reading on top and a smaller numeric reading below. I will list the screens below: (I used 99.99 just as reference.) 1. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C 2. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F 3. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C Dewpoint 4. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F Dewpoint 5. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 C Wet Bulb 6. 99.99 % RH / 99.99 F Wet Bulb Essentially, there are 3 sets of readings: Relative Humidity followed by Temperature, Dew Point, and Wet Bulb in both in Celsius and Fahrenheit. Note: When powering on the meter it defaults to the last screen that was in use before being powered off. There is also a Max/Min button that is used to toggle between the current, minimum, and maximum readings for any of the combinations of reading listed above. The screen is clear and the primary readings are very readable even for my tired old eyes. However, I find that the smaller indicators ‘C’, ‘F’, ‘Dew Point’, and ‘Wet Bulb’ are hard to see and require me to put on reading glasses. There is also no backlight as indicated in the description. On the back of the meter is a 1/4” threaded receiver that lets you mount this to a tripod or camera mount, which comes in handy. As for accuracy, I have to take their word on that. I have many temperature and humidity gauges and the readings from this Preciva meter are consistent with them. In conclusion, so far I like this littler meter. The only slight negatives is some of the indicators being a little too small for me, and the lack of a backlight. I also wish the meter could sense temperature and humidity changes a little quicker, which would make it a little nice for finding and recording temperature and humidity fluctuations. I hope some of this information helped. If I experience any issues, I will update this review.

My only gripe is the brief duration of the backlight. It turns off rather quickly, making it tricky to read in low light situations. I wish it stayed illuminated longer for easier viewing. Aside from that minor quibble, this psychrometer fulfills its intended purpose well. It's compact, user-friendly, and includes a 9V battery. Whether you're tracking conditions for agriculture, industry, or personal comfort, this meter is a reliable choice. For the price, it's a solid investment. Just be aware of the short backlight time and slight fluctuations when handling the device. Otherwise, it's a useful gadget for staying on top of your environmental metrics.

I run a youth sports program in the south and need to regularly check the temperature and humidity at our fields during the summer to determine if it is safe to play. This psychrometer is the ideal solution. It is light but durable and inexpensive enough that we can put one at each of our fields. I was impressed with how easy it is to read the display, even through polarized sunglasses in the bright sun. The numbers are large and clear. The sun seems to have no affect on the readability. As a bonus, I was also able to take this home and get quick readings on our reptile tanks. I'll be ordering another for personal use.

Used this to verify when the weather was right for my home made snow making, small sized, and humidity reading seems good, haven't had to change the battery yet.

It works, it is cheap, but man it does not fit anywhere. Tried using it as an alternative to my UEI one I used doing HVAC. It never fits anywhere.

Got this for backyard snowmaking. Works pretty good. Docking one star just because the screen doesnt love the cold winter temps.

I'm always curious to know how humid my basement is, or how humid my sauna is. This hygrometer is battery powered, easy to replace the batteries, it works very well, a few different modes to calculate different types of humidity metrics.
