Kisses for Daddy. Frances Watts & David Legge

This is my son's absolute favorite book. It has beautiful drawings that are rich and really jump off the page. The repetitive nature of the story is great for language development. My son has this book memorized so he "reads" it all the time - multiple times a day - and it is a must-read before nap and bed. The daddy character is sweet and silly, and it allows for lots of playing with voices and pretend kisses during reading time. I've purchased this book for many of my son's friends as birthday gifts, and my son's last birthday cake was even based on the book he loves it so much. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy interactive reading with your young child!

I got this book for my son-in-law when he and my daughter were having their first baby. He loved the book and couldn’t wait to read it to his brand new son.

This is a wonderful book for a father and child to share. I bought this book for my husband for father's day. He reads it to our 16 month old daughter almost nightly. Our daughter enjoys the illustrations and the story, I think my husband enjoys the story because it is similar to our daughter's bedtime right now. I would recommend this book to a friend and would definitely buy again.

Bought this for my husband's father's day present. It is a really cute story. It is a board book and our 9 month old loves to grab it and turn the pages. We don't have to worry about her ripping it as easily as a paperback book. Very sweet story and I will probably buy it for friends and family when they have little ones.

My daughter can not get enough of this book, she giggles endlessly at each page. I definitely over exaggerated the no no no part of course but the story line is adorable, very short, attention grabbing and room for interpretation for parents and toddlers! Our new favorite!

Absolutely adorable book for any Daddy who loves bedtime rituals with his baby. Also so fun to read out loud and get as many kisses in as possible.

I purchased this for children to read while their parent is being seen by our academic adviser. I work for a local college on a military base and the children go through a lot of transition when mommy or daddy are off on deployment. I think that this book helps the children express their feelings and that it is OK to tell someone you love them and give them kisses :-)

The story of an emotionally oppressed father working tirelessly to get approval from his son, and through manipulation and persistence works out a pity kiss. This is an allegory up there with the likes of Animal Farm. ... Okay so that is all hyperbole, but along the path of the truth. Mom gets hugs and kisses, dad gets balls thrown at his head and his stomach jumped on when he is sleeping. Maybe the dynamic just applies to little boys? Love to read this story to my son and get my good night hug.

Cute concept but would have preferred if it enforced 'yes' and not 'no'.

My 1 yr old daughter loves this book at bedtime. Great for small hands, with lovely pictures and great rhyming text, with just enough repetition for babies to enjoy, but not to bore adults to death! I offer her other books, but she just wants this one over and over! There is more for her as she gets older, little animals hiding on each page for her to find, but right now, she just loves turning the pages, touching the baby bear picture and listening to the story. I am looking for another book the same - come on Frances Watts and write another with David Legge!

Cutest book. we could relate very well. Book size ist perfect for small kids. Pictures are vivid in color. Like the design.

A lovely book that my hubby loves reading to our daughter. He loves doing the different kisses with her.

such a beautiful story. not great for small children as lots of words on the pages, but we love it anyway
