I encourage you to read
Good build. Good results. HOWEVER, a very brief learning curve. When the dragon is up, it's breathing (releases butane or whatever you fill it up with), so make sure you put it down to sleep. Also, takes a semi delicate adjustment. To much pressure, torch won't light. Not enough and it either won't light or won't light the dragon breath. Find the happy medium. Just something good to know.

Waste of money!
My son and I ordered this lighter for my husband for Father’s Day. It looks impressive and it was a fun gift. The first one we received did not work, despite filling it with butane and making necessary flame adjustments. I requested a replacement, and that one is also defective. Neither lights and both are junk. Since they are filled with butane, they can’t be shipped back due to flammability. Amazon did issue me a refund, for which I am thankful. I could make a better flame banging together two rocks. Don’t waste your money or time on this inferior quality product.

Better than some of these reviews give it credit
I've purchased each of the three variants of this lighter...and it's complicated. My personal preference is the gold version because it's easiest to grip and hold onto. The black plastic version is my least preferred because it's the least easy to hold onto because it's too slick for my taste. Other than that, they're functionally identical. Also, if they made a version that didn't look like a gaudy ornate chinese arrifact I'd buy a few more. Ok, the first issue I see in the reviews is the quality. Mine were $12 dollars. It's $12 dollars. Twelve Dollars. Perfection doesn't exist for $12 dollars. That said, the quality is fine you just have to keep expectations in check. These things act like every other butane lighter I've ever owned, which is to say they're a little finicky. You want to fully empty it before even filling it for the first time. That solves most of the problems right there. Once it's filled, you light it methodically - if you go too fast, it'll just not light. The mechanism has to be in sync with the gas output. This is no different than any other butane lighter I've ever owned or used. The interesting part of these is the features. When you first press down to light, the flame shoots out perfect for cigars. and stays lit until you let go. Once you let go - again, not too quickly - the gas gets released from the nostrils of the dragon head and lights a flame perfect for a pipe and the jet flame turns off. The flame adjustment valve at the bottom of the lighter adjusts BOTH of these flames and you'll want to play with it to get it the way you want it. BE CAREFUL and set the flame how you want it before you start lighting cigars and pipes or you might lose your mustache. Put the flame out by closing the dragon head and that's it. You should be able to perform all this with one hand - a feature I really like and is not always available on butane lighters. I also really like that you can light cigars AND pipes with one lighter. Leaving the dragon head open will probably leak all the butane as it's intended to be closed normally anyway. I've had these for a few months now and they're my favorite lighers. A nice feature to add would be a built-in cigar hole cutter and a cigar holder at the top. A pipe tamper would be great too. These are all neat features that are incorporated in various lighters and to see them in this one would be fantastic, with a modern aesthetic. If such improvements were to be made to this product it would be worth the cost and I'd surely buy more of them.

Great design, but doesn't work
Unfortunately, this lighter didn't work. I added butane, and once activated, only the hissing noise came out. No flame. Love the design but it's not functional! EDIT: the company sent me a new lighter free of charge. Excellent customer service. This lighter works much better, hence I changed my review to 4 stars. Thank you!

FUN PRODUCT WITH PROBLEMS
Does not work consistently. It is a cool product but a test of patience.

I wanted to love this lighter
I really wanted to love this lighter. The weight of it was great. It looked just like the picture but when I tell you, it was the most complicated lighter. I have bought many to date. I collect alot of unique lighters . This one is actually fragile. Smaller leaks gas at times. It is extremely hard to load this lighter and if you get it loaded, there’s no guarantee it will work. The flame will not light if you drop it too much . The flame will go out of control if overfilled an has to be refilled regularly. Doesn’t hold as much as I would like. The slightest breeze will blow out the flame. Needs constant cover to spark a flame.

Looks so cool
My teenager got this for himself and he loves it. Looks really cool. You do have to fill it yourself though.

Highly Recommend buying this lighter if you don't know what to get.
After using for over a year, i can confidently say, I never like to leave my house without it, has served it's purpose greatly, after configuring the gas flow, I have never had any issues. I would highly recommend buying this lighter. Butane refill canister that I highly recommend is, Scripto Universal Butane Refill.
