Great for nursing school
Excellent kit! This diagnostic set has everything I need for practice and learning as a nursing student. The otoscope and ophthalmoscope work well with clear lenses and bright light, and the variety of specula and tools is very handy. The leather case keeps everything organized and professional-looking. Great value for the number of pieces includedโperfect for students or professionals who want a reliable set without spending a fortune. Highly recommend!

Much better than expected.
I am an ER/ICU NP with years of experience looking at ENT, and am used to professional grade Welch-Allyn equipment. So I was skeptical of this $50 package. Happy to say that I am quite pleasantly surprised. It's 90-95% as good as the pros. The light is just slightly off center in the otoscope and ophthaloscope heads, but still totally functional. The heads are easy to change, but positively and firmly click into the battery base. The heft/weight is perfect. Not too light and bouncy, not too heavy to hold up for a while. The accessories are interesting. We'll see if they get used. The padded case is amazing. Prob should have bought this a few years ago.

Basic Kit
Works decently enough to help me practice for OSCE and other procedures. The kit does not come with batteries. This is a barebones type of kit but it satisfies my professors so it does the job. I would recommend this kit to anyone looking for a budget kit

BEST PURCHASE I COULD HAVE MADE FOR PA SCHOOL!!!!
I am a first-year PA student. I was given a list of supplies I needed for our different standardized patient encounters and I was stunned that we were expected to spend over $550 for a Welch Allyn set. I simply could not afford to pay that much, so I decided to go to my trusted Amazon to see if I could find a similar set. I stumbled upon this set, and at first, I was hesitant because of how inexpensive it was. I figured I could buy this set and worst case scenario I would return it for free and find another one. LET ME TELL YOU, THIS SET IS AMAZING!!!!! The clarity of the scope is great, it is super easy to use, and the light is super bright. My classmates that bought the Welch Allyn set were so jealous I bought this one because the quality of mine WAS SO MUCH BETTER!!!! I 100% recommend buying this set.

POOR QUALITY, CANNOT BE RETURNED
Yes they are inexpensive /cheap, but imo a waste of money. DO NOT RECOMMEND.True thoughts from an NP student :MD/DO/FNP/ACNP: Please move away and get the expensive / good ones!PMHNP / RN : Go get the $49 one (cheaper than this but same quality) since you may not use an otoscope/ophthalmoscope in the future.1. CAUTION! this product is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN.2. OTOSCOPE: the focus distance of the magnifying lens is exactly the length of the entire tip ----- which does not make sense! I tried to look at my hand first, I could only get a clear picture when I press the tip against my palm. This made ear examination impossible ----- you will never get a clear picture of the tympanic membrane(TM) unless you physically touch the TM with your tip (but who does that?!!!). I tried all the tips provided in the kit, but none of them could provide a clear picture of the TM. The best picture I got was a blurry blurry blurry "cone of light" (almost could not tell). Also, the original tip was full of dust inside. The dust will reflect the LED light and you will see a "snowy dust" before you see anything in the ear.3. OPTHALMOSCOPE: The LED light is not bright enough. I could barely see the red/orange hue when first shining the light into the eye (possibly due to insufficient lighting and cold LED light color). Also, the magnifying lens on the ophthalmoscope is not clear neither, there is NO WAY to do a fundoscopic exam because I could not see any details of the retina.4. LIGHTING: horrible. A traditional scope's light is supposed to be bright, warm/orange color. This thing is a somber, cold hue, from one tiny LED light bulb.5. BATTERY: uses 2 C-cell batteries. C-cell batteries are not convenient. Plus, if you decide to implement C-CELL X2 which provides more mAh, why do you still make the light so dark??????It is not even close to a clinic/classroom otoscope and ophthalmoscope. I can't imagine myself being a provider one day and assessing my patient with this... Not recommended for students neither because you CANNOT VISUALIZE anything and you WILL NOT LEARN.If you are a student and need to record a video for your health assessment class and show your assessment skills using a opthalmoscope, you should be ok with this product. BUT!!! ---- there is a cheaper set at 49 dollars with fewer parts, same low quality, uses 2 AA batteries. Get the $49 one if you just need them for the class play.If I were to make a simile, I would say this product is more like a $15 stethoscope. Eventually you will need a $50-200 stethoscope on the floor to really hear and diagnose.
