Nutritious Adult Grain-Free Wet Canned Dog Food
My 12 year-old Maltipoo was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has to eat every 12 hours so that he can receive an insulin injection. Poor little guy only has six teeth, so eating dry kibble was very difficult for him. The vet also discovered that he is allergic to grains, so I tried this grain-free food and he tolerated it well. Once, I slowly switched him to this brand of wet canned food he totally started looking forward to eating and finishes his meal quickly. He seems to love the smell, soft and liquid texture, and taste of the food. I love that the ingredients are nutritious for him and that he's had no side effects from the food like vomiting or diarrhea. I started having trouble finding his food at our local pet store, so I truly appreciate the fact that Amazon carries it and offers it as a subscription order. I never have to worry about forgetting to order his food. It really is a great product for the value of the money. I highly recommend this food if you're in need of a grain-free wet canned dog food.

Soft enough for a senior dog to eat without being runny. Plus, it doesn't smell gross to the humans in the house.
It has put some pep back into my 15 year old Shepard Mix. It is formulated in such a way that his sensitive, tumor riddled system is able to process it easily. As the human guest in his house (yes, it's my dog's house; he just lets me live here and pay the bills), I greatly appreciate the drastic reduction in gas and foul odor coming out of my dog. My dog was the runt of his litter and his digestive system was under-developed, according to one of his earlier vets. He has had trouble digesting food his entire life. It's only gotten worse since he's hit 15, lost many teeth and grown tumors throughout his abdomen and in his throat. (He doesn't let it slow him down, so under the care of a vet, we get to enjoy him each day without having to make that awful decision dog owners sometimes have to face.) As his teeth and throat issues were pushing me closer to having to decide that "the time", had come, I tried Natural Balance's Sweet Potato and Chicken canned food as my last ditch effort to find him a food he could eat comfortably. WOW!!!! My review is by no means an implication of the food's ability to cure anything, but within just one feeding, it was like I had a new dog. My 15 year old Shepard stopped moping around, he began playing with toys again, a light came back to his eyes, and despite his arthritis, he now comes running to the kitchen when I go ANYWHERE near the spot where I keep his food. For me, the food doesn't stink and it doesn't look like something already ate it and rejected it before canning it. It comes out of the can looking like a mash of sweet potatoes and chicken rather than a watery stew. It's soft enough for me to break it up and spread it around his plate with just a spoon whereas other "mashes" we've tried were so gelatinous that I had to use a knife or warm them to break them apart. It is thick enough to hide his tablets in and it coats them well enough that he can't suck the food off and spit the tablets out like he's learned to do. Other than the price increasing from $20 to $32 per 12 can case in the few months since I first tried it, I have NO complaints. In 15 years, I have finally found a dog food that makes both me and the dog happy. The vet is also satisfied with it because unlike other soft foods I've tried, this one is meeting the dog's dietary needs AND I don't have to glam it up to get him to eat it. To the contrary, I now wonder if my dog is getting enough to eat or if he is just now being greedy now that he has a food that doesn't seem to upset his stomach, hurt his bad teeth, or pain his throat. After each feeding, he will spend a good 15-20 minutes sniffing and licking around the kitchen floor to get any bits he may have pushed off the plate while diving in. He never did that before. Again, I can't and don't recommend this product to cure or treat anything other than dog hunger, but it has been a canned miracle for my very sick, senior, four-legged friend. The cans must be opened with a can opener. I do wish they came with pop tops.

Makes my dog fluffy and energetic again within hours โค
This canned food has made a major difference in my 15 pound jrt/beagle mix roadside-rescue's life. She got some kind of autoimmune disorder from her last set of vaccinations (please ask your vet to do testing before vaccines, which has been available for years, unbeknownst to me), and hasn't been the same since. I finally found this for her, and literally within a couple of hours, she's plumper and whiter and more fluffy. Then within a few more hours, her skin is better, and by the next morning, her hair is already growing back in. I've taken multiple videos to prove it (just memory videos for myself) because it's so amazing what the "wrong" dry food was doing all this time, and how much better she is on this. I've changed her to Eukanuba for seniors, as well, but it still triggers whatever issue or allergy she has, so I'm going to have to maybe just move her to this canned. But I'm worried that she's not going to get enough nutrition on just chicken and sweet potatoes. I'll ask the vet tomorrow... But she's so healthy now. The only factor I would disagree with a little is the price on this regular Amazon from varying merchants I guess?, as it's $23 then $26 then $29, etc., and I'm on disability and therefore a fixed income, so I would really appreciate the food staying at one price on Amazon the way it does in the store (but I don't know how the free market works), but Amazon Prime Now does deliver it for the original $23 price to my area, so that's good. ๐ But the food would be worth it even at a higher price because I can't cook. lol

doggo likes it
The older doggo gets, the more finicky he is. I thought I'd had a handle on it in early 2020, but then he got really sick and it became a matter of finding something that he would not only tolerate, but also enjoy. Natural Balance had been his go-to kibble for many years, so I decided to try it again. Through some trial and error, I've currently landed on two different flavors of NB wet food that he likes and it doesn't upset his stomach. The ingredients are decent, but could be better; and I don't find the smell overwhelming. So, for my very senior Lab, NB is a food he enjoys without any stomach upset. However, and I don't know where this actually happens, it would be really nice if the cans weren't dented when they arrived.

Spoiled canned dog food
This dog food must be bad. I have bought this at Petco several times, but I got very sick and could not drive. So I ordered it on Amazon. My dog vomited and had diarrhea for two days. My husband took them to the vet and she said to stop giving him the sweet potato and chicken food. I need to send it back and get a refund.

Doggo approved!
My dog loves this flavor and brand of food. Amazing quantity for the price. Lasts me a full month. Cheaper than buying them 1x1 in store.

Vet Recommended Food
Our Vet is very much into quality nutrition for our pets and recommended this dog food. Right away you can see the difference from a good quality food as opposed to the bargin brand. The food is so clean and doesn't stick to the can like the cheaper ones that are filled with grease and fat and all kinds of other horrors you need to know about. Do you know that our dogs and cats have been eating diseased animals, in addition to eating the remains of their own species who have been euthanized. Did you know that the makers of dry dog and cat food spray used grease on the food to make it more palatable? Well, they do. These things and more are what we've been unknowingly feeding our pets...food so dangerous that the incidents of cancer amoung our cats and dogs is running rampent. Quality food may cost more, but I'd rather pay a little extra than have one more of my pets die from cancer. Do yourselves and your beloved pets a favor, feed them a good quality food. Others besides Natural Balance include Royal Canin and Blue Buffalo, plus more. The higher priced foods in your grocery stores (Iams, Science Diet) are on the list of BAD foods. Do a little research, you'll be shocked by what you discover. I highly recommend this food.
