Will this work on brick?

All the pucks that I have tried never perform like ice. This puck can't stay grounded on smooth asphalt let aline brick. The best puck is the Green Biscuit Snipe. If you are just going to use it for passing or stick handling the regular Green Biscuit is good because it's lightweight, however the Snipe is the best because it moves just like the regular one over different surfaces, it's heavier so the feel of a real ice puck is there, and you can slap shoot it and if it hits a sidewalk or building it won't chip or break, it's the Terminator. Also, it comes in your favorite hockey team. Hope that helped.

What’s the difference between the carded puck and this one?

"Carded" means that it comes with a tag with a UPC code on it so you can resell it. The puck itself is the exact same puck.
