Works well, doesn’t seem quite as good as the original. But works well.

I purchased the Kenwood Mixer during the era when things were built to last. Unfortunately, the old whisk wasn’t as hardy as the machine, and finally succumbed to decades of use. Fortunately, spares are available! The spigot on the new whisk didn’t fit into the ancient Mixer, however, the spigot from the old whisk was easily exchanged, and the new (upgraded and better) whisk fulfils its role completely. Here’s to many more decades of whisking! I may even consider leaving the Mixer to my granddaughter… Where there’s a Will, there’s a whisk!!

Not compatible with ALL models as described - KENWOOD HELP CHAT Gokdjen SAYS: "I’ve checked into your concern, and I want to clarify that the newer Kenwood balloon whisks are designed with a smooth spindle fitting, while your older Chef mixer requires the locking ring type. Unfortunately, there isn’t an adaptor available to make the new whisk fit securely. Around mid‑2008, they introduced the newer smooth bayonet spindle design for Chef and Major mixers they stopped" ...this one I brought is missing the crucial locking ring that is needed to snap the attachment into place on my 20 year old Chef Mixer. Without the locking ring, the attachment just falls out of the machine. If you're trying to buy an attachment for your old machine, you are now obsolete and there is nothing they can do. A previous reviewer has mentioned its possibly to take the spindle out of the old one and put it into the new one so I'm about to try that. How annoying for the £30 I've spent.
