where are these knives made?

We use premium materials from different locations depending on the product (for example, our Shogun & Phantom Series uses steel made in Japan, and our Gladiator Series uses steel made in Germany and handles made of pakkawood from Spain.)   Our knives are painstakingly assembled by expert blades smiths in  a state-of-the-art facility within YangJing, China, a city renowned for knife crafting for nearly 1500 years.

So straight edge over serrated with this one?

Thank you for your question. It really boils down to your preference. Serrated steak knives do not need to be sharpened for a very long time, and are safer to handle (say for younger users), but naturally they are not going to cut meat as cleanly as a straight edge steak knife would. Straight edge knives are also easier to sharpen, but the edge also wears out quicker than a serrated one.
