This product was recommended to me by my vet for my adult male cat. He always had flaky skin that got worse in the wintertime; almost dandruff-like. Everytime I'd brush him, there would be tons of flakes of skin intertwined with his hair. While it never appeared to bother my cat, I didnt want to let it go forever. I have been using this product for approximately 2 months and my cat has absolutely zero skin flaking anymore. I saw improvement within the first week and it appears his skin is completely healed at this point. His coat has also become much softer, much more shiny, and he appears to shed less. I will continue giving this to him each day with his food through the rest of his life! Highly recommend.

Bought on recommendation from my vet for my senior cat. Within a few weeks, her coat was super glossy (more than I’ve ever seen it), and she was back to jumping up on counters (which she hasn’t been able to do for about 6 months). Shocked that it’s worked so well. Only downside is that the bottle leaks and the oil has stained it on the outside. Doesn’t look good at all, but effective.

My cat has a tender tummy so I had to back down to a half dose after a few days of full dose. He has done well, and I notice his coat is somewhat better, and he sleeps better.

Exactly as described. While the scoop that comes with the bottle is difficult to keep clean (since it IS oil), but it is useful for measuring. My cats don't mind it at all when I put it right on top of their regular kibble, and they just gobble it up! Their skin and coats really improved after about a month of regular use.

My cats really like the fish oil, and for my senior cat it's very good for him - my only reason for giving this 3 stars is due to the packaging for shipping. I ordered 2 packages, they arrived in one very flimsy shipping envelope. One carton was crushed and the bottle was cracked. Fish oil leaked everywhere - what a mess to deal with upon opening. Fish oil is messy - so perhaps this company should use small boxes instead. Good product though. Just fix the shipping. The other thing - for a refund or replacement, I have to ship the damaged one back - well obviously I can't do that with this. So that's too bad. Adding another comment: we also noticed that the expiration on the undamaged bottle was expired (July-2021). I contacted amazon customer service and I got a refund for both bottles, and that was nice. Nutramax needs to step up. It's a good product, but packaging, dispensing and shipping (and making sure the customer gets an unexpired bottle) are all important too.

The first bottle or two we got was great! It was slightly orange in color and smelled fishy - SOMEWHERE it went wrong. I noticed one or two bottles ago it was a different color and didn’t have that fishy smell! I thought maybe it’s just the batch but wait, it smells like vegetable oil. Our cats stopped finishing their meals and started going to each others bowls trying to look for food. We switched to native pet and our cats for the first time in two weeks have completely finished their food! KEEP THE MEASURE SCOOP AND SWITCH TO NATIVE PET if you notice a change in formula. I smelled the bottle the welactin was in and the vegetable oil on our fridge and there was no difference. Vegetable oil in small amounts like the doses we gave aren’t going to kill them, but it took all the appetite and settled stomachs out of our cats, especially since it’s supposed to be an omega 3 oil and there was a NOTABLE difference in formulation at some point. Please just do what’s best for your animal, but also note these topics listed are indeed problems. Will not be repurchasing.

My poor 10 year old cats back fur was in terrible condition. He had scabs and massive hair loss. I did a search and came upon this product. Within about 10 days, he’s totally healed. His coat is sleek and shiny and his skin is smooth. Also, his hair loss has stopped. I highly recommend this product.
