Would only these be good for a green screen?

These are great for multipurpose lighting, especially if you're on a tight budget.

Am i able to return this if it does not work for my set up?

Thirty day Amazon return policy.

Hey, can i buy everything except the umbrellas?

This kit needs to be purchased together.

Does it work for oil painters as well?

You mean will it illuminate your subject while you paint? Of course, it's just light. It's daylight color which is probably what a painter needs and it's probably brighter than the typical studio depending on how big it is. What is the painter using now?
