Preserved in oil with spices.....great stuff. I cut a hole in the bag, and leave it in the container. Like curry, it can stain. I've been eating spicy food for most of my life, and I love this pickle. Great price, and Prime delivery works out great.These pickles are designed for hot weather. They're not going to spoil if you keep the lid closed. There are a lot of mango pits. Frankly, I suck the flavor out of them. It's never been a problem for me. The Punjabi mixed pickle is great as well. I use everything in the bag....flavored oil goes into soups.
