No. The sync button does not work with this case. At least not with the case I received. I need to take it out to sync.

It’s to put in the charging port and then push up so you can remove the air pods case from this protective case

No, this protective case couldn't work for AirPods 3, it can only compatible with Apple AirPods 2 and Apple AirPods 1.
