Heavy Duty 304 Stainless Steel Double Rope Clamps, 10 Pack

These are great. They work as intended. Make sure you have the right size of rope.

no breakage when use as intended

I’m a metal smith and have access to a wide variety of tools—I still struggled to cinch these up. I was able to close them using brute force; began by shaping and positioning the prongs with a vice and finished with a nylon mallet. I used nylon braided rope. As extra insurance I married the cut end by melting it with a flame and squeezing it into the line end with pliers. (Suppose a knot would work too.)

These are ineffective in their primary purpose - they slip. Looking at the image you will see that the prongs that are to hold the rope from sliding are located in the middle - precisely where the gap between the two sides of the rope will be. Therefore, there is little contact and the rope slips. A much better design would have prongs on each side. Those are available here on Amazon. I suggest you buy those instead.

nice finish to rope ends

Great for making a tree or porch swing. Strong material (stainless steel) Doesn't rust after being outside for 2 years.

I used this to secure loose ends behind knots at the ends of 1/2" poly rope. Poly rope being hard to get a good cinch, I used these after the knot to hold the ends down next to the line. They work great as a backup to the knot so as to make it more difficult for the knot to become untied. I bent the tabs over with pliers then hammered them tight. The stainless is great as most of the rope I used will be submerged in a fresh water lake.

these are well made and a good product. Unfortunately they are too large for my use. I will reorder smaller ones if I can find them.

These clamps were super easy to use when I made my rope bath mat holder
