Marukome Miso Gluten Free Vegan, 13.2 Ounce

Good quality yellow miso you can get without your grocery store gouging you on the price. You get a nice little tub of good quality miso that mixes well into soups, sauces, and other dishes to add a lovely umami flavor and pleasant saltiness. Alot of places try to overcharge for this super basic ingredient but the Marukome tub from Amazon is affordable, you get alot, and it stores well in the fridge.

I recently started drinking instant bone broth soup. Some of these products are ridiculously expensive. So I tried using the liquid organic chicken and beef bone broth you get from Meijer, Walmart, etc. that comes in the carton that I usually use for chicken noodle soup or beef stew. Well, it was pretty bland and even after doctoring it up with LOTS of seasonings and stuff it was still nothing like the instant bone broth soup products I bought and tried online. So I thought I'd try some Miso in it. Haven't had it for years but read reviews of other people putting gin in broth soups. Wow!! This can make ANY bone broth taste just as good as the instant bone broth soup yo but online. I still add some extras but this tastes so good in the bone broth you don't really need any extras. PERFECT! Exactly what I was hoping for :))

Great tasting, light miso that isn’t too salty

I won’t lie — I watched a compilation of Misokome ads on Facebook, all which promised that one bowl of this soup would be a warm inviting reminder of “family” and “home”...and while my mom never made this soup when I was a kid, I closed my eyes while savoring my first bowl, and it re-wrote my childhood memories. I’m hooked. It tastes so much better than any take-away miso soup I’ve ever had, and it was literally as easy as boiling water, putting a spoonful of the miso goodness in, adding in a bit of my favorite dried seaweed, and chopping some mushrooms in place of the typical tofu (which I didn’t have on hand). This is something I could definitely have every day. I can’t wait to try mixing it with some veggies for dinner!
