Just clicked in. Ideal replacement for faulty flush valve.

I've replaced two of these so far, but probably didn't actually need to - the seals fail over time and they need replacing. Just make sure to check that the float cup valve stops the water filling when raised before purchasing - I replaced the 2nd one not realising the float valve also fails giving the same symptom of water trickling back into the toilet! They can also be refreshed by just buying another seal/service kit.

I used it to repair the cistern in my main bathroom. The diaphragm's do collect dirt quite quickly and then the whole unit fails. However, this is no reflection on the unit as it is a problem with the hard water that we have in Devon. The unit is very easy to replace that any competent DIYer can fit it in minutes, I don't even switch the water off when I do it but I don't recommend this method unless you know what you are doing.
