The woods lamp is ok, honestly it hardly works. You absolutely need to be in a completely dark room AND use the little curtain that comes with it. And it will take a couple minutes for the UV light to start registering the colors.

Landfill
When I say landfill, I mean it quite litliterally. It's not nearly I didn't bright enough to be of any use whatsoever. If you were wondering why it's so cheap, that's why. I didn't get around to returning it in time and now, faced with what to do with it, I'm going to just get rid of it because it's not even worth the space it takes up.

Easy to use, hard to see
I was hoping to use a woods lamp to see if there were any area I needed help with moisturizing due to my psoriasis, but quickly found this is suited more towards viewing others, and not my own face.I can't fault the machine for that - and definitely have use for it on my family and pets! Most of what appears under these kinds of lamps is sun damage, which appears just as darker spots. This needs to be used closer to the surface when compared to professional woods lamps, but again at the consumer price range thats not a big deal.The magnifying glass is a nice quality, and the shade stats in place (though is difficult to use with the lamp so close to the skin) - and you will definitely need the shade if you can't get the room dark enough. Things like ringworm or parasites are the most easily detected using a lamp like this, but luckily I haven't come across them!One thing I'd mention is to be careful, as these long wave UV rays can damage the eyes if the person being checked doesn't keep them closed. You also want to limit the use to 10 minute periods to save on bulb life as well.All in all, the price is good; and you may have even more use than I depending on what you need it for!

Luz tenue No es lo q esperaba
La luz q emite es muy tenue se debe de acercar mucho el equipo a la piel lo cual no es lo mejor. Tenia otra expectativa de este dispositivo, una lampara simple ilumina mejor.
