Great substitute for a Rochester 2GC carburetor
Installed and worked like a charm on a 1976 El Camino V8 5.7 350. Same fit, no leakage, great value for the money. I saved over $250 in parts by installing instead of rebuilding the old beat up carburetor which was giving me grief. You just have to tweak it once installed but Youtube helped with that. The plus of this carburetor is apparently the parts can handle ethanol. Highly recommended so far.

Great.
Worked great on my 87 Chevy v8 350 small block. Bolted it on and adjusted the idle and never had a problem. Been working on my truck perfectly for 2 years

Works
This 2 barrel carburetor worked on my 1962 StudeBaker gt hawk. Had to use a adapter plate but I did not have to male no adjustments. Fired right up no gas in the carburetor and no adjustments needed . I would highly recommend this carburetor and this seller.

Does not work
Got this to replace the horrible corroded 2 jet that was on my small block. The factory carb had partially clogged idle circuits but would idle with the choke slightly pulled and would rev great without the choke. The new carb arrived horrible packaged and the automatic choke housing was broken (I just used my old one). This replacement carb will not flow nearly enough fuel to idle unless the choke is almost completely shut, backing the idle mixture screws out did nothing and the engine won't even rev without the choke half closed. I verified fuel pressure and flow, and verified no vacuum leaks (even though a vacuum leak wouldn't really affect wide open throttle.) I opened the carburetor and even raised the float level as much as I could without it overflowing and it was slightly better but still wouldn't idle without the choke pulled some and wouldn't rev without the choke half closed still. This is a big bummer for me but at least it wasn't a ton of money lost. Just my time. I guess I will have to try to get all the idle passages clean on my corroded factory carb.

Good carb for the money, some modifications needed
Carb seems to be well built and function properly. However, this is not built to be used interchangeably. If I was to guess this carb is set up for a 220-250ci engine. The main jet size is a 54 and the jets are a small metric thread, so a standard jet kit will not work. I was able to drill out the jets as well as the air bleeds to get the carb to operate/respond properly under load. Would not suggest modifying carburetor unless you know what you are doing!

Very Satisfied
I did some drilling to attach my throttle linkage and 700 R4 throttle valve cable. My 65 el Camino originally had a power glide. The intake manifold and Carburetor is off of a 71 elcamino. This carburetor comes with a base gasket, which is a rectangle flange with only two holes drilled into the gasket just like the original carburetor head. I went ahead and carefully drilled out the other two holes into the gasket. So now I have four studs holding the carburetor down. This is not necessary, but for me, I think it's the right thing to do. Also the choke thermostat on this carburetor uses a metal line, going into the intake manifold, and then attaching to the rear of the carburetor. My manifold had the thermostat on the intake manifold, which is different than the carburetor mounted thermostat spring. . I just put a pull spring on the choke linkage and to hold it open all the time. I can see where this carburetor fits different applications and I think it's a good choice. I have no issues. No leaks no problems. Everything is great.

Nothing fancy but will work in a pinch
Works fine for low key driving. Accelerator pump didn't work right from the beginning but it was the only problem for quite awhile so could ignore it. Until it developed a vacuum leak in the gasket between the plenum section and throttle plate. Since this was a few months past warranty I decided to fix the accelerator pump at the same time. Opened it up to find the pump is not a normal Rochester size. I had to special order a 13/16" cup for a Mercarb instead. All things considering I'm giving only three stars because breaking down with the vacuum leak after only putting 200+ miles on it was disappointing.

Great carb for the money
I was getting 9mpg with a 4bbl Edelbrock on a mild 350, pit this carb on and it fired right up out of the box. No adjustment needed, I ran it on a 300 mile trip and averaged 17mpg and it ran much better with the 2bbl carb. Make sure to use two fuel filters and it will be good to go!

It works right out of the box
Good packing, well built, fire up and ran right out of the box, small adjustment to choke pull off and idle mixture. Good value.

Muy alto para un Chevrolet G-body
No cabe, queda muy poco espacio entre el carburador y el cofre en un malibu 81

2 barrel
It looks very nice but there a problem with the idle circuit. Hopefully I can find the issue or it just become a paper weight
