Prime-Line Products H 3925 Universal Jalousie Link Assortment, Steel

The included hardware is rather lacking. There is only one stud/bolt thing included, even though the links have holes at both ends. In my case, the head of the bolt was smaller than the hole in the lift bar, so it easily slipped right through and could not fasten as-is. And I guess they are assuming that you have the proper hardware to secure the other end (which is a stupid assumption, in my opinion). The instructions aren't the worst, but they could definitely be improved. As far as I can tell, you are only meant to use one of the metal links (choose the size that suits and not use the other link), and even though the instructions say to use the one closer in size to your original (which I didn't have) OR LONGER, the shorter of the two is the only one that worked for me (and poorly at that). I managed to jerry-rig it using a paperclip and a screw from my junk drawer. It doesn't open the window very far, but it does close it tight, which was my main concern. In the spring I might remove the link so I can open the window farther and prop it open as I have done in the past, or maybe I will try replacing the whole operator. I can't really recommend this product... even though I did get it to work... sort of.
