EASY INSTALL AND LOUD & CLEAR
Received SadoTech Model CXR wireless doorbell today. Let me say up front, that this particular model comes with two PLUG-IN receivers that must be plugged into a regular 110 wall socket. The transmitter that you attach to the wall outside your home is battery operated. Instructions were easy to follow. I like that each receiver can be programmed with 1 of 52 available tones. It's actually a combination of tones or musical jingles you can choose from. Also, when the button on transmitter is pressed, the blue ring on all 3 pieces lights up momentarily. Programming each receiver takes less than 15 seconds. The outside transmitter can be mounted with 2-sided tape or anchors, both of which are included. Battery for transmitter is also included. Instructions advise you to mount receivers to wall sockets located at least 3 ft high for better reception. My chosen locations were both at wall sockets located at 1 ft levels. That wasn't a problem at all, so don't be alarmed if you think these won't work if plugged into a socket at floor level. Signal from transmitter is plenty strong. I also like that this gives you the flexibility of moving your receivers or changing tone/volume if desired. I'm very happy with this product for the price. This is nitpicking, but my only complaint is Product Registration. SadoTech encourages registration and offers a choice of free item, e-booklet with tips & tricks, discount offers and faster support response times as an incentive to register. I went to the linked website and entered my information, but when it came time to complete registration, the last step took me into a blank white page where it remained with every repeated attempt. I attempted registration via my 4G Iphone using cell and wifi from home. I then went down the street to a public wifi and still no luck. Tried via 4G again and finally one last attempt from home through my PC. Oh well, no registration, but I'm happy with the product.

Seconds to install - fantastic product
I bought this door bell because my door bell died and I could not for the life of me figure out where the actual chime box for the original door bell even is in this house....of course moments after I bought the new bell my husband pointed it out to me (DOH!). No matter. I'm not an electrician, nor do I want to monkey around with the chime box or buy a volt meter to diagnose it's problem. Whateve's I knew I could just click one button on Amazon and have a crazy easy solution to my broken doorbell problem (both bells are not working, hence the conclusion that the problem is in the chime box) ANYWAY, I did my one click shopping and shazam, two days later the new bell is on my doorstep. I even used the old screw that already had the anchors drilled into my brick exterior. Both screws did not line up to my former classic doorbell, but it's so tight that bell isn't going anywhere. The box came with 2 plug in chimes. I tested it on a plug closest to the front door first and it was nice and loud...though apparently I can change the chime, I'm not picky. Then I took the plug up to the second floor to plug it in there to see if the radio signal would work. In case you think that's crazy this is an extremely old house....like 150 yrs old with 10 inch brick exterior walls and very thick plaster inner walls. Even our doors are solid wood. I don't even get cell phone signals unless I'm standing next to a window, so I was a bit concerned. No matter where I put the chime it worked. So I have one plugged in near the back of the house (near the television and kitchen fan noise) and one plugged in at the 2nd floor landing. All of this took mere seconds. I'm sure it will take me longer to find the wire cutters to disconnect the old door bell.

Bought one for my mom and a second one for my condo!
I originally purchased this wireless doorbell for my mother's house because I liked that you could simply plug the doorbell ringer into an outlet in any room of your house. My mom had a very hard time hearing the old doorbell so this was a perfect solution because now the bell is only a few feet from where she sits. The package came with two bells so we put one in the living room and one in her bedroom. Because they're wireless they were super easy to install. Since this worked out so well for my mother I bought one for my condo. As I get older my hearing is not what it use to be. I installed this wireless doorbell in my condo and found that it is extremely helpful! I no longer miss people when they come to my door. It's a very cool wireless doorbell. Plug and play. Super duper easy to install, you just plug the bells into any outlet in your home and then you stick the doorbell button onto the wall outside your door with the adhesive that is already on the back. The volume control has at least 5 settings and there are well over 25 different sounds including seasonal bell ring tones. Great value for the money, very satisfied with my purchase.

Great unit, love the look, minor gripes
Our old door bell stopped working or sometimes would ring 15 minutes after someone pressed the button. I did some searching and read reviews and took the chance with this one. I chose the 2 receiver units with one transmitter, purchased 2 sets, one for the front door and one for the side door. Having 2 receivers allowed me to place them in multiple areas of the house so if I'm on the 3rd floor, I could hear it, etc. I have a split level house. Side door is in the "basement" and the front door is on the 1st ground floor. Bedrooms are on the second floor and our 3rd floor is another finished living space. It is loud and has 4 volume settings, probably could of gotten away with just one receiver, but I wanted to make sure I had coverage and having a backup that's coded to the receiver is a peach of mind. Placing the receiver in the middle of the house on the 1st floor, I could hear it everywhere. Distance, I have about 80-90 feet from the transmitter to the receiver thru brick exterior wall and up a level. Chimes without problems. Very simplistic, plug it in and hang the transmitter. I like the clean look with the blue indicator light Some things you should be aware (which is why I only gave it 4 stars) 3 prong, doesn't allow you to rotate the receiver i.e. have one on the bottom of an outlet, the other on the top. You have to press the tunes button 50 times to cycle, wish there was a way to go backwards * If you loose power, it resets to the first chime which doesn't help when you have 2 of these, wish it had a battery backup Wish the plug design allowed for another plug to be used in the same outlet. If they only made it a bit smaller on the top. Expensive, compared to other doorbells, but I was willing to spend the extra for one that works consistently. $45 per set ($90 for the 2 is what I was able to purchase it for, 3 days ago). It was on sale, now the price jumped to $60 each at the time of this posting. I probably would not of spent $60 per set. On the loudest setting, a lot of the tones were distorted Wish the 2 transmitter, one receiver unit allowed for 2 separate tunes, that would of been the ideal combination. On the box it appears that there's an option for 2 transmitters and 2 receivers also, but I didn't see this as an option on Amazon. Packaging was very simple, no paper instructions, instructions where on the box. (I've posted pictures). Also note, no instructions regarding using the screws to mount the transmitter (you need to remove the circuit board, 2 screws, not a big deal). Hope this helps.

A Wonderful Doorbell for a DIng Dong...me!
I was very hesitant on investing more money on a 'doorbell' as I had tremendous bad luck with two doorbell systems at Lowes with a different manufacturer. While searching Amazon.com for their inventory of doorbells, I really was drawn to this one. First, it was easy to install. And second, it really appeared to be a reliable doorbell system as it was dependent on a battery (the transmitter/actual doorbell), and electricity for the (receivers/sounders). I installed it all by myself, and I'm very challenged with 'handyman' skills. So, it's very, very easy to install. But what I like most of all, it works! And it works fabulously! It doesn't short out like the other brands at Lowes as those other brands were dependent on a 'signal to a signal' in order to produce a sound. Many neighbors, family, friends, and customers are very happy that I have installed the new Sado Tech Model CXR Wireless Doorbell because it WORKS. I know when someone is at the door and I do not miss their visit. And it's plenty loud. I have one receiver at one end of the house and another at the other end of the house...I do not miss a visitor at all! This doorbell has many wonderful doorbell sounds. You pick the sound of your choice, but if you have an electrical trip/serge the doorbell automatically resets itself to the 'Ding Dong' sound. That is still so wonderful because you'll still know when someone is at the door. When you have time you can reset the sound of your choice. I wish there were more 'styles' to choose from as I have a beautiful country home and the doorbell system is modern looking. But I'm truly happy that it is a very reliable doorbell system that is very easy to install and maintain...very easy!

Almost 10 years old and going strong. Wow
Its almost been 10 years since I originally purchased this setup. Its been flawless and great. Overall was so worth the money and is nice to have a door bell in two places for easier hearing without it being crazy loud. First setup when going through the tons of ringer tones is a little annoying as I just want my one simple tone. Get it and you won't be disappointed. I might get another just to replace the really sun faded door ringer outside when we sell the place as a little update as the old one is rather yellowing. But hey its been amazing and worth it.

Convenient and Noticeable
Our old wired doorbell was weak and you couldn't hear it sometimes. Instead of "Ding-Dong" it would go "bzzz...Dong". We no longer have that problem. We purchased this wireless doorbell with two bells and one button. The installation was easy, I used screws to attach the button to the outside wall left of the front door where the old wired one was. I disconnected the wires from the transformer in the attic and just pushed the wires back into the wall behind the button (just in case). The ringers are loud, but they have four volume settings and the quietest works well in my son's room where he wears headphones when gaming, the fact that it lights up helps him know when there is a caller. We plugged the bell into an extension cord and brought it up to his desk. His room is about 22 steps from the front door, probably 17' straight line from the bell but that goes through four walls and two doors! We have the second in our kitchen which connects to the living room and family room, it is set on the second volume and is loud enough so that all rooms can hear it. There are 52 ring tones, so going through them takes a while, you have to start with the first and scroll (with a side button) through to the others, no fast forward or reverse. But if you want to start over at the first tone, just unplug and it resets. We like the #2 bell, it is less annoying than the others. We like it and would recommend it!

Simple, works great, and I love it.
We had a weird situation with our new home - the doorbell was only wired to a land-line phone system. So we replaced that with this simple solution. This SadoTech CXR Wireless Doorbell was perfect for us because the bundle we bought has two chimes. You put the batteries in the doorbell part, stick it outdoors where you want it to go, then plug each of the chimes into an outlet. The instructions were pretty easy to use. The chimes have connect buttons that you have to use first to make sure the doorbell can "find" each chime. From there you can choose which doorbell ring you want (from MANY) by pressing the button that plays through each chime, every time you press it. Unfortunately, they don't list which chimes are which, so you have to flip through them all and make a note of which one you wanted (e.g., "It was number 33, I'm pretty sure. Sounded like Eidelweiss"), then go back through and stop on that one. I have a detached home office, so I put my own chime in that building and the other chime went in the main house in the stairwell. The doorbell has to wirelessly punch through a concrete-and-steel main house, cross a courtyard, then pass through another steel-frame wall to get to the chime, across about 50 feet total distance, and it works just fine. Some reviewers say that when the power goes out the chime is 'forgotten', but so far we haven't had that happen. If you need a wireless doorbell solution, this one is easy to use and works just fine. It could probably use having a list of what chime is what number, but apart from that minor inconvenience, I love that it works all the way out to the back of my property.

Tut, was es soll
