May I know where is the Taurine made from?

Hello,Taurine originates in China. No US manufacturer exists for this raw ingredient. It is FDA inspected and passed a safety analysis.Around 95% of the world's raw nutritional raw materials are manufactured in Japan, China and Korea.Only one manufacturer of amino acids (our most common type of nutritional product) is located in the USA and they currently only manufacture 3 amino acids.All of the foreign manufacturers that we purchase our raw ingredients from have FDA Certification and receive periodic on-site inspections to assure the safety of their products and process controls.Many nutritional manufacturers located in the USA will print "Made in the USA" right on their labels, but what they don't tell you is that everything EXCEPT the actual nutritional raw materials are made in the USA.The principal ingredient you are taking as a nutritional supplement is manufactured in China, Japan, or Korea. Good for cats?

Yes.  It's food grade; so fine for cats.  You have to measure your preferred dosage (35mg - 200mg/day) for an average cat.  Start low since most food already contains some taurine.

Before I purchase 1 KG of Taurine, if you have purchased recently, how far out is the expiration?  TIA!

I use about 2tsp a day so the 1KG should last around 3 months, or 90 days. What I do to keep these bulk supplement products fresh for a longer period of time, because of cycling is dump all the powder into a cleaned out, used Protein Shake bucket. Its easier to seal than these bags and remains fresh. I don't know exact expiration dates, but most powdered supplements lasts for a year or so.
