Purchase this item to get rid of the ticking sound while the engine is running. First few days was ok, after a week it started making noise louder than the old part. Returning it.

I purchased this for my girlfriends corsa as it was much cheaper than from the dealer and the car has been perfect since. It does tick a little more than the genuine one but the car runs well. Save yourself the money and buy from here.

After getting EML (Engine Management Light} light on and reading ECU (Engine Control Unit) code P0171 'Bank 1 System Too Lean' with an OBD2 reader (On Board Diagnostics gen 2, port location in pics), research concluded that the Fuel Evaporation Purge Valve was faulty on my Daughters 2013 Corsa 1.4 Petrol. Purchased this replacement, fitted it in 10 minutes, cleared the ECU code and the EML has not come back on since. The valve is located between the back of the engine rocker cover and the bulk head (see pics). Gently unclip and disconnect the power connector on the left of the valve. Gently pry the rubber mount on the valve from the metal mounting bracket, turn the valve 180 degrees and push in the green clip on the left pipe to remove it from the valve. Gently pry the pipe from the other side of the valve to remove the valve completely (I used a thin flathead screwdriver to get underneath the rubber pipe, but be careful not to pierce the rubber). I found using a bit of WD-40 helped the pipe removal process. Then install the replacement valve in the reverse order. Return to the car and clear the code with OBD2 reader and that should be job done. To confirm a faulty valve (although code readers and research are mostly accurate to start with), if you can blow into, and get air to pass through the old one it's faulty. This will have been letting too much air downstream to the O2 sensor thus causing the O2 sensor to report the P0171 code. Hope this helps someone.

Deze werkt niet op een opel corsa d! Na montage merkte ik totaal geen verschil met de kapotte klep, ben naar een opel garage gereden om te laten uitlezen en deze gaf dezelfde foutmelding als de kapotte, ze hebben dan ter plekke een nieuwe klep gemonteerd van Bosch en het probleem was meteen opgelost. Dus heb je een corsa d 1.2, koop deze klep niet! Koop ene van Bosch!!
