Did its job perfectly
I changed the valve stem seals on my 2007 Avalanche. I used this tool to remove the valve springs on my LC9 5.3 L engine. Worked perfectly in coordination with a pneumatic valve holder running at 100 psi. No warping of the tool observed. Good tool for the price, but I would recommend the version that compresses 2 springs at once if you were going to be performing this job regularly.

Simple tool that works.
Used this tool for my 5.3 cam install. Use 3n1 oil on threads every other valve. Took me long because I kept dropping keepers in my gravel driveway. Also helps to use a pass thru socket rather than a open end wrench to tighten and loosen.Tool got the job done.

It works great!
Works as it is designed to. Handy tool. Just removed all 16 springs(two heads) and it only took about 30 minutes.Helps to lightly tap the retainer with a hammer to loosen the keepers before tightening down.

Giant POS bent trying to install the first spring. Crude and unfinished. Weak "fabrication" I used that term loosely. Avoid at all cost. Get good proper set of valve spring compressors dont even attempt to use this.

Meh
Easily gets the spring keepers off. This tool wont compress the new pac 1218 springs far enough to put the keepers back on it just bends. I knew I should have bought a better tool.

5.3L valve spring tool
It worked okay...did the job removing the keepers but it started to bend at the end of the job. Thicker would be better.
