High-Quality, Reliable Distiller That Delivers Clean Water with Minimal Effort
I recently upgraded to the VEVOR 304 Stainless Steel Countertop Water Distiller. After several weeks of daily use, I’m genuinely impressed with this unit's performance, convenience, and build quality. Straight out of the box, the unit feels solid and well-made, thanks to its food-grade 304 stainless steel construction. Setup was extremely simple — within minutes, I had it cleaned, filled, and distilling my first batch of pure water. The glass carafe is a thoughtful touch, helping avoid plastic contamination that can occur with other models. The included citric acid powder made the initial cleaning process a breeze. Performance-wise, it’s excellent. It produces around 0.3 gallons per hour, and the dual temperature and timer display make it very user-friendly. You can program a delay start or shut-off time, which is a huge plus for overnight or energy-conscious users. I also appreciate the carbon filter bags, which add that final polish to each batch, removing any residual odor or taste. After running a few cycles, the difference in water quality is undeniable. No strange aftertastes, no mineral residue — just clean, crisp distilled water that tastes noticeably better than my tap or filtered water. I use it for drinking, cooking, and even feeding my humidifier and CPAP machine. It’s also much cheaper and environmentally friendlier than buying gallons of distilled water from the store. If you’re serious about having reliable, home-distilled water for health, appliances, or peace of mind, this unit is a top-tier choice. Quiet, efficient, and easy to clean — VEVOR nailed it with this one. NOTE: Distillation of water will remove PFAS from your water. Something to really think about.

Solid Performer for Daily Distilling – Clean Water, Thoughtful Design
I've been distilling my own water daily for some time now, and the VEVOR Water Distiller has proven to be a reliable addition to my routine. The 304 stainless steel build feels solid and gives me peace of mind knowing that the water isn't touching cheap plastics during the heating process. The dual temperature display and programmable timer are features I didn’t know I needed but now wouldn’t go without—very convenient when managing multiple tasks throughout the day. The glass carafe is a nice upgrade from plastic containers I’ve seen with other models, and the included carbon bags and citric acid powder are appreciated touches for maintaining both water quality and the machine’s longevity. I do recommend cleaning it regularly to prevent buildup, especially if you’re using it as frequently as I do. Overall, this is a great unit for anyone serious about clean water. It runs smoothly, is well-made, and gives me confidence in the purity of what I’m drinking. Definitely worth the investment.

Carafe handle strap sharp. But usable.
Try not to cut your fingers assembling or using the carrafe! The metal bands on the carafe are very loose and sharp. The plastic handle was a little warped too, so it was difficult to get it screwed onto the bands. But It's usable, I think. I'll improve it later- for me, it's not a reason to return it. Another option (to replace a plastic carafe) would be to get a generic 12-cup coffee maker carafe because they're cheap and ubiquitous. The default settings are for distilling water. I've only started running the first 30 minute cleaning cycle with citric acid dilute. But it seems to work fine. I already own the basic version distiller and it works great for water. I want to get into utility alcohol so I needed the adjustable temperature. The timer will be great also. (I use a seperate outlet timer on the basic version.) I'll update this review as I use it. But these cheap distillers are definitely worth my money. (Less than one hundred USD when I purchased) I found the best way to clean these is with a cordless drill, a 12inch extension, and a sponge attachment. And a paste of a product that rhymes with Farkeepers Briend. Our tap water here is both contaminated with fire supressants and has a high level of dissolved solids. I use it every day, so the boiling chamber gets very dirty very fast. UPDATE I used cardboard shims and packing tape as a quick fix on the carafe handle straps. I didn't know what the trivet was for. The seller q&a said it is to put things on inside the boiler.

Took two to get a working unit, But worth the trouble!
First unit just boiled water, upper top has a fan that never came on. Second unit works and has been constantly running, works well, and will run daily for a while to ensure function. Distills water a gallon in about 3 hrs using 750 watts. Great for making distilled water! Worth the hundred bucks if it last a year distilling water!

Short life span
We bought the distiller in January of 2025 and used it pretty much daily until the end of August 2025 at whick point it just quit powering on. Others have reported the same issue here so this may not be a reliable product for long term or constant use like you might expect out of a household appliance like a coffee maker or toaster for example. I have reached out to Vevor and they are mulling it over I believe but were pretty adamant about supplying them with basically the original order number and invoice, which I eventually did. I am not to concerned nor did I give them the impression that I was looking for a warranty claim, I was merely inquiring about the availability and price of the power control board located under the bittom cover. So I guess we shall see how this plays out. Other than its short lige span it worked well and still looks brand new really.

Great product
We have the 1750 watt unit for the house and purchased the 750 watt for our RV for lower draw on the RV electrical system.. We love the one at home but have only used this unit for a few batches so far. It is the same quality as the higher wattage unit and does a great job. The 1750 watt unit completes one gallon in 2 hours and 40 minutes, while the 750 completes the same in 3 hours and 30 minutes. I would recommend either one based on your requirements. I would add that we had the 750 watt plastic unit which does a great job, but is not as robust as the stainless steel models.

Good design but poor quality components
I purchased this distiller about four months ago and I've been producing a couple of gallons per week of distilled water since then. Overall, I am pleased with the design and features -- I am especially happy with the timer feature that keeps it from boiling dry and building up crud in the bottom -- and it works well when it is working. However, a couple of weeks ago it inexplicably stopped working; the panel wouldn't light when it was plugged in and nothing seemed to work to get its attention. After a couple of hours to diagnose the problem, it turned out to be that the somewhat flimsy fuse holder that is built into the main power cord connector was broken, and no power could flow through the fuse as a result. Even worse, it appeared that someone had previously and ineptly attempted to solder the broken part of the fuse holder back into place. It took a bit of work to get it properly soldered back together (it was a very tight fit to get my soldering iron into the teeny-tiny fuse holder, but I managed it), and now the distiller is working again. However, upon opening it up to work on the inside of the power connector, I could see that many of the other components are of equally marginal quality, and I suspect it is only a matter of time before something else fails. Nevertheless, when it is working, it does the job well. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to diagnose the problem and repair it myself.
