It’s padded but they are removable. I did take them out as I found them a bit of a funny shape and made me look odd but I’m perfectly happy without them. For this brand I would recommend the removable ones as I ordered another top with built in pads that I returned as it looked and felt strange. This is extremely comfortable and washes very well. The material is really soft. I wear for Pilates/barre and you don’t know it’s there. So light and well fitting. I’m a size 8 and got a size xs and it fits perfectly. The material is very soft. I would recommend removing the labels as they are irritating.
