The reviews for this suggested that it would be very chancy to expect it to work for long, and perhaps even out of the box. Perhaps that made for additional caution, and it has worked well for entire summer of pool masters team swimming -- taken out and in each day. Process depending only a remote with no controls on the device is crazy, and remote instructions and actual face are not logical, useful. Use as just a countdown or count up timer is great. No battery requires long extension cord with risk of pulling down the entire device, plus chock especially on pool deck. Still, works well within its limitations.

Seems to work pretty well. But, I gave it 3 stars because the remote sent is all in Chinese instead of English, as the product photo showed. Good product - but with a remote in a foreign language, I can't just give it to someone and ask them to run it for me.

It's, ok. Could have been better if rechargeable. Tethered to the works, but a hassle if you are on an open cross country trail. It needs function buttons on the unit itself. The remote doesn't work if the clock is hit by direct sunlight.

No way possible to connect tripod bracket to clock. So tripod shipped with clock is pointless.
