## Overview

Polyp Lab Reef Safe Medic is a 30mL liquid treatment designed to combat external parasites like Marine Ich and Freshwater Ich in both marine and freshwater aquariums. Its reef-safe oxidizing agent targets the free-swimming parasite stage, ensuring effective control without harming invertebrates or beneficial bacteria. Buffered to maintain stable pH, it requires twice-daily dosing over 10 days and is trusted by aquarists for long-lasting parasite elimination.

## Description

Medic is a highly effective water conditioner used to control external fish parasites present in both marine and freshwater environments. It contains a reef-safe oxidizing agent and is particularly effective against: Marine Ich - Crytpocaryon irritans Freshwater Ich - Ichthyophthirius multifiliis Marine Velvet - Amyloodinium ocellatum Features Completely reef-safe Buffered to maintain physiological pH Does not harm invertebrates Does not harm nitrifying bacteria Size: 30mL - (Treats 550G of aquarium volume) How Medic works: Many external fish parasites have very similar life cycles. In particular, these parasites have an "attached" stage (trophonts), a "matured" stage (protomonts), a "reproductive" stage (tomonts), and a "free-swimming" stage (theronts/dinospores). Most available treatments do not target the free-swimming stage of the parasite which is one of the primary difficulties in dealing with these infections. Research with ciliated protozoans has shown that the "free-swimming" stage of these parasites have remarkably consistent hatching times. We have engineered our product to be most efficient during this stage. Active Ingredients: Crystallized Peroxide Salts. Directions: For in tank treatment: Use one level scoop of Medic for every 50G of your system volume twice per day. Dose once in the morning (Before 10am if possible). Dose once in the evening (After 10pm if possible). Continue to dose for 10 days. Note: UV, ozone and carbon must not be used during the treatment. Protein skimmers can be run as normal. The infection may seem to disappear when white specks are no longer visible on the fish. This is merely part of the natural cycle of the parasite and you must continue dosing the product for the entire course (10 days) to be maximally effective. After treatment is complete, run granular activated carbon for 2 or 3 days. Store product in a cool and dry location, away from direct sunlight

Review: I 100% recommend it for white spot disease in marine fish. - It works incredibly well to remove the white spots from my fish, it's amazing!
Review: Worked on Ick in my Reef tank - I had ick in my large reef tank. Went fallow for 3 months, treated all my fish in 2 QT tanks and ick reappeared shortly after. I was extremely disappointed and aggravated. A local fish guy recommended this product. Amazingly it worked. It's been over 8 months and no signs of ick!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked on Ick in my Reef tank

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped my ich issue FINALLY!
*by M***G on December 2, 2022*

Long story short, I got a sick juvenile Porcupine puffer. He had ich when I got him. I QT’ed him and treated with coppersafe, but I swear it almost ended him every time. After the 3rd round of QT…. enough was enough! I had pristine water parameters, RODI, cycled tank, UV etc with a system that cost me about 8,000 USD and was about to throw in the towel before I ordered this. I have a 100 gallon system with anemones, zoanthids, and soft corals only. I ordered online to avoid the heat from my LFS and this is GOLD! Literally saved me from quitting the hobby. I was not about to traumatize my fish again, and this was the final straw. Overall following instructions to totally be ich free I used around 3-4 bottles over the course of two months. Follow the instructions carefully and do not miss a dose! My Puffer was ich free for 1 week the first time, stopped dosing for 3 days it came back. I realized you have to treat this like an antibiotic, taper up, then taper down, be careful. At one point I did increase the dose to 8 scoops when the ich was booming (6 was recommended); but do at your own risk. With water changes treat the new water as well. Glad to say it’s been 6 months now and my ich is managed. I would recommend using this at the first sight of ich, the faster you treat the better imo. Now I always keep a bottle handy bc the seller took almost 2 weeks, then it came broken 😡. I had to go to my LFS in shame to buy. Stock up if you have a big tank or use a seller that has it on prime.
