As someone who is particular about her oral hygiene, I love being able to perform some extra cleaning between formal cleanings. I have a few areas that tend to accumulate debris, despite consistent brushing/flossing, and the hooked scraper in this kit works well to remove the build-up. The tools are quite sharp, so I am careful about using controlled movements to avoid accidentally poking my gums or over-scraping surfaces. Two months ago I underwent gum graft surgery, and when my endodontist removed the remaining sutures a few days ago, he apparently was unable to remove a suture remnant nearly completely embedded in the gums. However, he did not inform me of this issue, and my follow-up appointment is not for one month. I noticed the remnant immediately upon returning home and inspecting the site. Thank goodness for this nifty dental tool kit because I used the spatula-like scraper with the sharp beveled edge and was able to pin the edge of the suture remnant against the tooth and drag it out completely. Huzzah!

Great product

I use these tools regularly and they work well. They are a little heavier than I thought they would be but still very manageable. I use the mirror and two other tools regularly, not sure I will use all of the tools but nice to have in case I do need them. Still I find it is a good product for the money.

And not just for teeth. I use mine to puck lint out of sewing machines.

Quality product, would give 5 stars BUT the mirror is not anti-fog which is important for a dental mirror.
