Best Rack On The Market
Prior to purchasing this setup we used a different brand roof bag that worked well. With our cross bars the bag was pushed up where the bars were, limiting the space. Went ahead and got this setup with the bag becuase we liked that the WildRoad matched on the rack and bag and the color of this bag matched our vehicle. The rack itself got the bag off the car allowing full packing potential, and pack it we did. This held 2 full size suitcases, a carry on, 2 queen sized sleeping bags, a camp grill with propane, 2 queen, air mattresses, 2 heavy blankets, 4 pillows, 2 large folding chairs and several other random items. The setup was very easy and loading items into the bag was also very easy. Since we’d used a bag on top before getting the straps to be the right tightness was a breeze. I used the same rubber bands that came in the kit to rubber band the end of the straps, once done, to keep them from blowing in the wind. We drove 1810 miles over 9 days, totaling 27 hours from Houston to Big Bend to Dallas back to Houston. There was zero noise, nothing shifted, the straps stayed secure. I’d thought there would naturally be noise, I was wrong, not a peep the entire time. We went off roading several times with the setup up on top and it still handled like a champ. We also love the look of the rack and will be keeping it up top when not traveling. It also rained heavily up in Dallas and everything remained dry. If you are looking for a setup like this, look no further, this is the one. Buy with confidence.

Coast to coast move solid
Could not afford an expensive hard top with little to no storage so when I found this I was hopeful. Assembly: Not bad! The Wild Road front flap screws were weirdly hard to line up. The grate was easy with two people to line up but not by myself. Fits great on my Subaru’s roof rack. The bag: I read the other reviews about this not being 1000% waterproof so I wrapped everything in plastic before putting it in the bag. Drove through 4-5 big time thunderstorms with heavy rain. Never found a drop in the bag. Amazing. Everything stayed dry! The straps: Duct taped them, no noise on the road. Made sure to tighten and check everything each morning before driving. Everything was always intact. 3,000 miles and apart from the bugs of Minnesota, everything is good as new. This was worth every penny and now that I’m all moved, this will be great for camping trips.

Great rack - needs better clamps.
We bought this rack for a road trip from Florida to Indiana that we’re about to take. So far we’re happy with our purchase, but I’ll comeback and update this review after our trip. I would have given it 5 stars, but the clamps need to be addressed. It’s easy to make your own mods so they work, but you really shouldn’t have to do that. INSTALLED ON: 2025 Hyundai Palisade XRT PROS: This rack is great. It’s big, it feels sturdy, and it’s fairly easy to assemble. It’s true to size and comes with tons of accessories. The waterproof bag and bungee net are going to be essential for our trip. It’s great that we didn’t have to buy them separately. CONS: The sealant that’s included is drippy, so keep that in mind when using it. It’s pretty watery, RTV would be better if you have it. We also had issues with the clamps fitting properly. I noticed this was an issue in other reviews as well. We aren’t using the anti slip pad because other reviews mentioned it slipped off. So we cut strips off the slip pad, wrapped them around the clamp, taped it in place with black duct tape, and that provided enough of a pad to make the clamps fit. See pics for reference.

Worked exactly how I needed it
This worked great for my trip from NH to NC. I paired the rack with brightlines crossbars (bought on Amazon as well), which were recommended for my model of car many times in a forum I’m in. I measured the top of my car/cross bar trackings and went with the 64”, which was the perfect size for a 2019 grand cherokee. I put the rack together on my own, had a friend assist me in getting the rack on top of my grand cherokee, and tightened all the brackets on my own. Instructions were clear and I felt confident in doing everything on my own (5’6” female). I drove around with it for a few days before my trip and felt it was secure and it was not noisy. Even with the bag on, it was not super noisy. As far as the bag: it was easy to install, zip, and hook all the straps to the rack. The back straps proved to be a little harder, only because I didn’t have a step stool and stood on the back bumper which isn’t super safe. I felt it was secure with the straps that attach to the bag, but added an extra ratchet strap for the second half of my drive since the highway speeds would be higher. I tucked the excess side straps in my doors but every now and then they would flap in the wind and make noise (just annoying) so next time I’ll tie/tuck them under the bag. It rained for the last half of my drive (8 hours) and everything inside stayed dry! It held A LOT and probably could’ve held more vertically, but some of duffle bags were very full and heavy and I didn’t want to go over the weight limit. I definitely recommend the whole set up - rack and bag. I originally was going to get a roof bag without a rack, but this gave me much more peace of mind that my stuff wasn’t going to fly off my car, and was super easy to build and install.

Great except clamps dont clamp well on curved rails. Way fix though.
25 Honda Pilot Sport. The clamps that hold the basket to the rails slide. So the whole basket slides back and forth on turns. Just not designed to work with curved rails. I don't really blame wildroad as straight rails dont seem to be a thing for honda pilots. Everything else is great but a sliding basket is a deal breaker. There is an easy fix though. Get four short straps and strap each side of basket to your side rails. Voila! No more sliding.

Great product!
Awesome roof rack. Super easy to put together and install on your vehicle. Went on a 9hr roadtrip immediately after installing and had zero issues with lots of rain throughout the trip. If you have an suv and need extra room at a budget friendly price this is the way to go.
