I haven't taken the back off yet to confirm, but it's steady for that price point. Mine loses a minute or so every few days which is consistent for a middle of the road automatic. The steel watch is about what you'd expect at this price point. I wore it twice before giving in and swapping it out for a decent black leather NATO strap. Much better. It really seems to strongly resemble the M___s. It doesn't fake logo's so it's ok on that front. I got this black version because I do plan to buy the real blue-green one some day.
