Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude

Great read for my internal conflicts and recklessness. I read the one-star reviews after purchasing and almost regretted buying the book based off of claims that he went on endless analogies, stories and repetitions. But after reading it, it was the best thing that I could have done for my journey. Multiple self destructive behaviors of mine were exposed and provided solutions. The analogies and stories are the most important takeaways from the book, and I feel like those who give it one stars expected him to give them some kind of edge or secret or crystal ball to trading. His analogies are direct and easily recognizable correlations between the market, the story he's telling and your emotions. For those whining about repetition, I feel like he's sowing the foundations for consistency. Goodluck on your journeys, and may the market gods be with you 😅

Very insightful, would recommend this to new traders and those who have been trading for years as well. Really taps into the mindset of trading, not just the technicals.

I highly recommend this book if you are serious about being a trader. It is a must read.

Following the teachings of this book definitely made me a better, more profitable trader. More importantly, it made me a better human being. Learning to follow a plan and place trades without expectations translates to every interaction in the rest of your life. Learning this way of thinking entails learning what I would describe as a very Zen way of thinking. As you learn and incorporate it into your trading plan it can't not affect the way you think about everything else in your life. Easily one of the top ten most important books I have ever read. Buy it. Read it. Live it. Your trading account, and your life, will be so much better for it. Only If you put in the work, exercise the discipline, to implement these ideas in your life. If you can take the ideas and do the work this book will change your life.

It would be a great book for someone who wants to trade and every now and then makes a mistake under emotional pressure. It could also benefit the ones that still want to better understand their psychology and how that might influence their trading.

I thought I would take a moment to review one of my all time favorite t investment books, " Trading In The Zone", by Mark Douglas. This is actually the book that helped me start making money consistently in the markets. Before reading this book I was very inconsistent in making profitable trades. If you are like me, you may have some trading behaviors that you are not too proud of and have not served you well such as; getting in too early, getting out too late, being indecisive on if you should get in or stay out. Do you know what it feels like watching a profitable trade go down the drain because you did not exit when you should have? I have traded stocks, futures, forex, and options. The forex and futures markets can move so fast they can make your stomach turn. These markets are not for the faint of heart as they can beat a trader to near death and to the point where you will become afraid of your own shadow! I got my battle scars to prove it. This book definitely helped me get my trading act together to where I finally started making consistent profitable trades! It does not matter if you prefer fundamental or technical analysis, as this book focuses more on you the trader. It gives a great overview on why many traders consistently lose money while good traders consistently make profitable trades. More importantly, Trading In The Zone gives you the knowledge to replace fear with confidence in your trades and ability to make great trading decisions that will move you from the loosing group to the successful group of traders. I never make a trade without being in the zone! This book is worth every penny and makes for one of the best investments I have ever made. In fact, I have more than made my money back plus many thousands over from trading in the zone. Another easy and fun read that definitely took my trading game to the next level.

Um dos melhores livros, senão o melhor, sobre a psicologia no trade. O autor explica de forma didática o porquê o psicológico é o fator mais importante para o sucesso do trader. Não é por acaso que a maioria perde dinheiro nessa atividade, pois, a maior parte dos que fracassam colocam o foco na técnica ao invés de colocá-lo na mente.
