no problems here so far, I had vesync tv live smart plugs before these, out of those 1 failed straight out of the box, then after a year 1 started flickering (it was on a lamp) and to be honest I had enough of them not playing nice, so went with the best reviewed ones on amazon for not a huge amount more, easy to use, easy to pair, easy to use with Alexa, have been solid as soon as I put them in, energy monitoring is potentially useful on certain things that could be plugged in, but as these are on energy saving lamps its just a case of checking them now and again thanks for a good product tapo

Work fine and easy setup. I got these as they not onky work with Alexa etc they also work with Smartthings which was critical as they talk to my TV light sensor.

I recently purchased the TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. I had previously used TP-Link Kasa smart plugs which were rather hit-and-miss, with the company breaking smart home integration functionality in the past. However, I took a chance on the Tapo smart plugs due to a fantastic Black Friday deal and I am glad I did. The app is simply outstanding, it not only measures the energy consumption, but it also calculates the cost based on the price per kWh that you enter. This makes it extremely easy to track and monitor your energy usage. It integrates seamlessly with home automation systems, be it through Alexa or API for developers, allowing you to automate various non-smart devices in order to save energy. I purchased these smart plugs to reduce energy consumption by devices and appliances that waste energy in sleep mode. For example, my TV set and HiFi equipment use 10W of energy, but thanks to the Tapo smart plugs, I was able to automate the process so that the electricity is turned off once the power usage drops below a certain threshold. I also use them to turn off my non-smart bed heating pad in the morning, ensuring that I don't waste energy by leaving it on. Should I need to turn it back on, I can simply use Alexa, which works flawlessly. Additionally, the built-in features are incredibly useful. For example, I use the smart plugs to turn off various lights when the sun sets, with an offset, so that it's not too dark during the dark winter days. The 4-pack is the most economical option and is a smart investment as there are multiple uses for these smart plugs. For instance, you can use one to monitor and turn off your iron if you're worried you may have left it on. The energy consumption of the plugs themselves is minimal, measuring at roughly 0.5W, making it an economical choice for a smart appliance. In conclusion, I would highly recommend the TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring to anyone looking to automate their home and monitor their energy usage. It is an excellent product that integrates seamlessly with home automation systems, is easy to use, and provides accurate and useful information.

Great smart plugs. Easy to setup. No connection issues. Can set schedules and/or use Home Assistant integration.

All you really need is the app. Setup was effortless. No hub needed unless you wanna add a physical button/switch and possibly other addons to be placed somewhere in your home, which was a bonus since i didn’t need one. I can now operate the light in my loft without having to climb up, turn on light, climb back down, pick up the stuff i wanna store in the loft and climb back up. And in the rare event u forget to turn iff the light, i can simply access the app and turn it off. Another great feature is that it monitors the energy consumption, not necessary but helpful little feature to have if its something u care about. TPLINK (parent company) have always been reliable for me so i trust that this brand will be the same. Plugs work well, they connect easily to the Tapo app and to our Google homes so we can control it with the google home, they also connect to Home Assistant well. This model has energy monitoring so we can see how much energy each device is using, and it has other features like scheduling when to turn stuff on / off etc

Bought these to monitor a bunch of appliances and it works well. The app works well, Android, and even the Washing machine and dryer show accurate results, same as what the washing machine reports. Same for UPS reported usage as the usage from the UPS at the plug.
