We finished it together and then he took over on me. With his strong hands and my personal physique and allure just an arms length away from him, he kept working towards me and then he was done. Completely the same color and finish of the old wooden original threshold, which comes in quite handy when he wants to play with our daughter and slide a toy puck into each other. He’d be in the kitchen and she’d be in the rumpus room and they’d slide it back and forth, but the raised shape of the old threshold was ruining everything. Every time they’d slide it, it would hit that thing and the plastic puck would fly everywhere. That’s only the start of suffering, because it was loose and if you’d trip on it, it would fly away under your feet. We tried and tried to glue it down with a number of epoxies and sticks of alum, but to no avail. Finally, we got fed up with it and looked each other in the eyes and said to each other, —Darn it, this is ridiculous, let’s do something together as couple.’ and so we did. Wow, this is the greatest home improvement project my husband and I have ever done.
