Great unit for the price
For $89, you'll get an easy to use, versatile sound box. My first one lasted five years before buzzing and popping so I just got a new one. The funny thing is that it has 999 sound effects but I use only one (06 Flying Chorus) and it makes my 12 string sound great without static or other voltage fluctuations. I have tried the looper function and hope to master it soon. You'll have to check whether it has storage for pre-recorded loops.

Great little device to spice up your playing
Im an amateur player, intermediate level, I must say, i love this multi-effect, relatively easy to use, you can connect your device for back tracks, the drum tempo effect is such a nice addition, tons of effects, just well worth the money.

Does a LOT for what it costs, but not pro-level equipment
This thing is far from professional quality but if you are one of those people who just hacks around and plays for their own enjoyment, it's a fun toy with lots of functionality. Especially if you manage to catch it selling for a LOT less than the regular price. The main advantage of this gadget is a does a LOT. Aside from all the different guitar sounds, which are infintely customizable, it's also a drum machine (40 patterns), metronome, 3-minute looper with infinite overdub, wah pedal, volume pedal and electronic tuner. You could easily spend more than $100 just on a simple looper so this is quite a bargain given all that it does. As with most multi-effects guitar pedals at this price point, most of the pre-set sound effects (80 in this case) are pretty worthless. Goofy distortion combos that no guitarist has ever used in my experience. Some just don't sound that great. But there are a few good ones in there and you can create your own if you have the patience. The interface can be quite challenging because there are so many options and only a few buttons or switches to control them. It is difficult to keep track of everything when programming new sounds. As others have mentioned, there are massive volume differences depending on which pre-set sound effects are selected be prepared to balace those out with guitar or amp volume controls. It would have been nice if Mooer had spent a bit more time getting volume levels more uniform. Overall sound quality is OK but not great -- a bit harsh and raspy sometimes. Not very clean or tight. Professionals would find lacking I think, but fine for just fooling around. About what you would expect from a device that costs so little. So if you want to have some fun, experiement with different sounds, see what a wah pedal can really do, create your own backing tracks, this is a great little device. It gets the job done, at the hobbyist level anyone, and does not cost a lot.

That was fun!
I received the pedal today. I was surprised how substantial it felt. I thought it was going to be plastic and light weight, but I’m pretty sure it’s a metal case. I’m just now learning guitar. My first guitar I bought was an electric. It’s nice and fun but I always wanted that electric guitar distorted sound. This thing gave me that! So many cool sounds. The drum sound was nice too. Bpm is adjustable and it has several different beats. I bet I played and tried out the sounds for two hours! Will it last? Time will tell but for now I’m very pleased!

Great value, good product!
Inexpensive for the quality and the number of effects. Some really nice tones. I use mine mostly for looping and practicing, but it’s been working great for two years.

Many Sounds, Some Good
I bought this with the hope that -- by using the amp modeling -- I could run my rig directly into a Bose-type stick PA on stage, the same one I use to monitor my acoustic guitar and keyboard. I just wanted to cut down on the stage clutter and maybe not have to haul a separate electric guitar amp to each gig. Unfortunately, most of the tones sound kind of brittle and unnatural. So that didn't work out. I was going to just toss it on my pile of cheap effects that didn't make the cut, but then I tried adding it to my pedal board and running into my usual amp. I switched off all the amp modeling and set the tone controls for my personally programmed effects to around zero. A little additional tweaking and I was able to get some very acceptable and usable tones. These effects are not going to rival high-end boutique pedals, but they do sound good enough for most live applications. The chorusing, phase and different wah effects are all quite nice for the money; I'm still trying to chase down a great distortion/overdrive tone from the thing, though. What I've got now sounds ... OK. Unlike a lot of players, I'm not crazy fussy about tone. I'm just a humble rhythm player, so I'm back in the mix a bit already. So "OK" is good enough for me. On the plus side, the pedal is almost ridiculously easy to program, the display is *very* bright, which makes tuning easy even on outdoor stages, and the build quality seems quite high for the price point. Though I had bad luck with the amp modeling, the effects themselves are usable, if not exactly stellar. I'm hoping to squeeze a few more good sounds out of this pedal in time, but for now, it's filling the bill for my live shows.

Great value for what it does. Advanced beginners to intermediate level.
Good item for mid beginners to intermediate. I am at the intermediate stage. It has more than what I need, intense manual but I was able to get a cool beat, dial the bpm down and had some effect wah. It works and I sounded good practicing. I don't have time to go through everything yet and there is probably stuff I will never use. I will compare it to my actual big muff π as there is that is included. Bought on sale and you will still spend that on 1 good pedal. Still not on sale I would recommend. You really can't beat it for the drum and looper alone.

This is a great bit of kit, easy to use and the sounds are really good. The drum sounds are good and so is the loop, great compact design with a really nice big interface it feels sturdy too. Impressed. 👍

Comes with an American mains charger not U.K.
See above. The pedal is good but in European markets you’ll have to rely on 4xAA batteries only as the charger is supposed to be able to run the unit independently of batteries but clearly Amazon hasn’t checked the contents of the box……not impressed.
