do you mean all the plugs added together is 200W or each plug is 200Watts. I really only need 1 of the wall plugs to be 85-40 watts for my mac to live

The fuse in the plug will give an idea of the total power. For 200 watts total the fuse will be a little larger than 17 amps. if each outlet could provide 200 watts at the same time, the fuse in the plug (and in your car's fuse box) would need to be greater than 35 amps. That would be multi-charring (as the brochure indicates). LOL

As this is a modified sine wave inverter, can this be safely used with cpap machines?

Yes, it is the modified, and I think it will work great for the CPAP machines

how long is the cord? i want my back seat passengers to be able to use it but will it reach to the back seat of a compact car?

Not from your dashboard but yes from your center console. "Reaching it" is really all about how long someone's device power cord or USB is. Shouldn't be a problem for you. Not sure of the actual length of the cord but I'm guessing maybe...18 inches.

Can you charge a laptop with this?

Yep sure can! As you can see it has both USB and ACDC ports....I've done everything from phones, iPads and laptops while traveling.
