This has effectively warded off all of the bugs that used to get me as I walked my cat in our subtropical location. Nothing bites me, if I spread it on correctly. It spreads on easily and does provide moisture, without making me sweaty like some others do. It is long lasting, but I reapply it on my hands and up my wrist after doing dishes.
