Can work with connect/etc, but you will need to find flat replacement m3 screws.
These things are great, but they are shipped with caphead m3 screws that hold the chassis together, which stand proud of the sdd enclosure. In order to get this to work with a connect, or other module that lays flush against the back of the ninja V/V+/Ultra, you will need to replace the m3 screws with flatheads that sit flush with the exterior of the ssd enclosure. I used some 5mm length m3 flatheads that I had lying around and they worked fine, but make sure the flatheads are completely flush with the surface of the enclosure, as the tolerances are extremely tight. Depending on the module the short length of the ssd enclosure may cause some inconvenience, but for the connect the ssd enclosure is long enough that I can reach it (I don't think this is true for the cast, so you would need to remove it to access the drive.) Other than that slight inconvenience I have 4 of these and they have all worked flawlessly. The supplied screwdriver appears to be the incorrect size, so you will need a 1.5mm pentalobe bit/driver that you will find in something like an ifixit screwdriver set (or you can find a cheap set on amazon for under ten dollars.) While the initial setup is not "plug and play" the provided directions are clear and none of the steps are difficult. The additional thermal mass of the enclosure along with the thermal tape probably helps keep these modestly cooler than the plastic enclosure, although I haven't done any tests so YMMV. The finish, threading, and overall tolerances all seem to be superb. I highly recommend these along with the usb c adapter that is compatible with windows/mac and it has decent read speeds as well as matching the aesthetic.

Great Low Profile Mod For Ninja V Drive
I don't typically use my Ninja V monitor for recording media, but I always like having an SSD installed just in case I want a back-up. The primary reason for purchasing this case was to try to keep my rig as light and compact as possible. Standard SSD housings are large and add unwanted bulk and weight to the already heavy Ninja V monitor. The ANDYCINE case looks great and is well made. It includes the housing, screws, a small driver for screws and some heat tape. Remember to keep the screws from your donor SSD as you'll need them to mount the board inside the housing. I installed a Samsung 870 EVO SATA III into the case with no problems. I'm comfortable doing surgery on electronics - if you aren't, search YouTube and you'll find perfectly adequate tutorials for installation on there. The SSD fit perfectly and the case slid nicely into the drive slot on the Ninja V, nice and snug with no fear of it falling out. The smaller profile means it doesn't block the vents on the rear of the Ninja. Recommended.

High quality mini caddly for Ninja V/V+
I saw a video on Youtube showing someone installed a Samsung 870 EVO SSD into the lunchbox II. I immediately purchased 2 lunchbox II and 2TB Samsung 870 EVO. Upon open the 870 EVO the PCB is to big to fit into the lunchbox. This is because Samsung has a design changes on their 870 EVO. I give the lunchbox 5 stars for it quality made and look beautiful. It is not Andycine fault for the 870 EVO design change, but I wish they update their description and state that lunchbox II may not be comatible with 2TB 870 EVO. Now I need to spend more money to buy Samsung 1TB EVO 870 to be compatible. Since I have this 2 2TB 870 EVO, might as well purhase Luncbox III. The sad part is the lunchox III I received is machined under sized. I can't slide my 2TB 870 EVO SSD in. I returned and got a replacement. The replacement I got is the same under sized. So, I returned and ask for a refund instead of trying.

It Works!
The ANDYCINE Lunchbox II works, but the DIY process of removing Samsung memory from other drives can be a little unnerving. ANDYCINE also offers a matching adapter so that this drive can by attached via USB to a computer for data wrangling. I wouldn't bother with the adapter if you already own any other drive adapter that will work with the irregular dimensions of the Lunchbox II. I bought the two of the ANDYCINE adapters thinking they would be useful to keep spares in my travel bags. However, the ANDYCINE USB adapter will not work with standard AtomOS or AtomX drive modules. I'm not sure why, but only the ANDYCINE Lunchbox modules will mount using the ANDYCINE USB adapters. The Lunchbox II will mount on my computer desktop just fine using any brand of USB adapter, however, so long as it is not an enclosure-type design like my G-TECH, which will not accept insertion of the Lunchbox mechanism, at least not without trouble removing the Lunchbox from the G-TECH, which is designed for full size AtomOS drive modules. BTW - the Lunchbox II works, but my tests using Blackmagic Speed Disk Test, show that the ANDYCINE is a bit slower than my AtomX Angelbird drives. This might be a factor if you are using a Ninja or Ninja+ at data rates near the limits of their ratings.

Amazing Product Must Buy for Raw Shooters
I have 4 of the black cases Lunchbox 2 with 2 TB drives in them and another 2 with the red case and 1 TB drives. They are amazing, I shot for about 9 straight hours, different guests on a controlled set, and they worked great. I also shot in very humid conditions, outdoors with above 100 temps, some rain and dirt and along with my FX3 and Ninja V, preformed perfectly. Such a great product! The best part is the USB-C adaptor, I was able to edit ProRes Raw straight off the drive to a MacBook Pro for daily stringouts/ selects reels. I have two suggestions for the next one: Somehow build in a USB-C port and expand capacity support to 4 TB.

This is a great option for storage on my atomic ninja. Easy to install and set up. Not worried about dropping it due to its construction. Great value

Andycine Works as intended
The Andycine Lunchbox two fits my new Atomos Ninja almost perfectly. There is a very small gap between the lunchbox and the back surface of the Atomos Ninja when sliding the Lunchbox in to connect to the Atomos Ninja high speed drive connection points. This may be for airflow as the Ninja gets pretty hot. Just don't press down on the lunchbox too much, as I suspect this may start to loosen the high speed connection interface attached to the circuit board inside the Ninja. My High speed connection points does move ever so slightly on the Atomos - I also checked the connection points on another new Ninja incase mine was faulty, but also found very slight movement on that one, so I trust this is normal. Very happy with the product, and although its says its its compatible with the Samsung 1 & 2 TB drives, mine worked perfectly with the 250GB drive Samsung 870EVO.

Does NOT support the 2TB as recommended
I just purchased the recommended 2TB SSD, it does not fit at all, far to big for the product. Looks like ill have to but the thr Lunchbox iii for this item. The 1 TB does work and fits perfectly and looks awesome.
