I would give it 10 stars if that were an option. This is exactly what I needed, as the phone on its own is so slick, I kept dropping it and with buttons where they are I kept pushing them by accident when trying to get a better grip on the phone.This cover makes the buttons less sensitive and has a great grip to it. I can only recommend this!It does NOT have a screen protector, but I had that already put on in the store, so I had that covered.

This is a fine case for the S8 ACTIVE ONLY. Do not order if you have an S8 or S8+ with curved-edge screens! This is for the non-fashoin-show S8 ACTIVE that has a flat screen and looks like - well - a phone.Mine has survived a few drops from 18-24" without breakage. Ports are fine, and I'll update when I try a right-angle USB-C cord. People say that they can hear me well on both handset and speaker.My negative observation is that the outer surface needs to have a finish with more "bite", making it more secure to grip and more resistant to slipping out of a back pocket. True that it has antislip grooves molded into the side, but the material should have more of an Otterbox Defender feel. Larger phones now protrude from rear pockets and need extra slip-resistance.I thought I had found the solution when I cleaned it with alcohol and brushed four coats of PlastiDip onto it. Dried 30 minutes between coats and overnight before putting it back on the phone, the coating lasted a day before it began to peel. PlastiDip I'd NOT the solution.I'm going to order the Magma case in hopes that it has more "Gription", as the Gregory backpack people term their slip-resistant hip belts; it sure resembles the Defender in the photos. A Dremel should take care of the large top bezel if it interferes with swiping down.Enjoy your S8 Active!

I love this case! I had a different case for the S8 Active and while it was good and solid, it was a little bulky and somewhat slippery since it was hard plastic. This case isn't rubber, but it is more grippy than the device itself and the previous case. It's also very solid and nicely snug on the phone so it doesn't feel like it's loose in the case. The buttons work perfectly and the phone now has a nice solid feel and it's not bulky.I also added the screen protector and now my phone feels very protected.

It made the acclaimed "near indestructible" Samsung S8 active truly nearly indestructible. I purchased case after, in the first week of ownership, the side case of the S8 active was dented causing constant pressure downward on the on/off button after a fall of only about 18 in. Now with this case it would likely take a fall of many times that distance without any damage. I don't know why I am asked to rate the touch screen because the case does not cover the already adequately durable S8A touch screen. Don't wait until after you dented your case, like I did (thinking it unnecessary), to purchase this protective cover. It is well worth the money to protect the $600 investment but even more so to protect so much of what we've come to rely on our phones for. Why do we still call them phones? They should be called the ultimate life assisting apparatus. I guess that wouldn't fit on an elaborate yet useless (after purchase) box phones come in now.

Two major things wrong with this case are, first is that the outer portion of the case has the look and feel of matte black paint which ends up feeling weird and somehow painful after a while. The other issue with this case is the charging port hole on the bottom, unfortunately they angle cut this case so precise that after a while if you end up holding your phone in a way your fingers are along the area of the charging port resting on it then its going to constantly rub the matte black texture against your finger(s) to the point its painful like i mentioned earlier. Besides those two issues the case seems pretty solid but doesn't provide inner protection support like their other case does.

It's a great case, but I don't like the hard TPU rubber around the edges. Feels stiff and not flexible at all. Not saying it isn't durable but it feels like another plastic layer around the already durable phone.I do like the raised edge around the screen and should provide enough protection if it were to fall screen first. (A screen protector is still a must for this phone)If the plastic and rubber were a tad softer this would be the perfect case. Still great but could have been better.
