Pink Bourbon: Cultivated from hybridizations of Red and Yellow Bourbon - very rare but the producer said it is quite resistant to Rust. Pink and Orange Bourbons are very difficult to produce with consistency. The recessive genes leading to the expression of these colors are easily thwarted by the presence of yellow and red genes in a given pollen grain. A carefully isolated and contained lot can do quite well and preserve the unique color and character of this variety, though this is quite hard to find. Amazing Coffee from Colombia!
Wow - that is some amazing coffee! Got some as a gift, wasn't expecting too much as many other coffees I've tried from Amazon have not been very fresh, tasty. This coffee was insanely good - roasted to perfection! Taste was full and smooth, no bad aftertaste. Had a sweetness all its own so did not add cream or sugar and it was fantastic black! I used to live in Manizales and Pereira so am fully familiar with the coffees from that region and others from Colombia. Some of the best coffees in the world! Thanks Gator Coffee for an amazing coffee experience!!!
