This nail file is the best I’ve ever had, it definitely does what is written on the tin. I like the idea it has a little cover to keep it safe and to stop it poking into other things. I would definitely recommend this product.

What a difference this has made! I was having problems with my nails when fingerpicking guitar, but this has fixed my issue. Great German tool, highly recommended, and comes in a cool little sheath.

Good, but not the best

This is the kind of nail file that feels like a real tool rather than something disposable. It’s sturdy in the hand, and the filing surface is effective without feeling rough or shredding. I’ve used it for shaping and smoothing, and it removes material faster than a basic emery board, so you get results quickly without having to go back and forth for ages. What I like most is the finish it leaves. After shaping, the edge feels smoother and less ragged compared with cheap files, which helps reduce snagging. Because it’s a metal file, it also feels like something that will last for years if you look after it, rather than needing replacing frequently. It is more “powerful” than a cardboard file, so using light pressure is best, especially if your nails are thin. Cleaning is simple as well, since you can rinse it and dry it. If you do your nails regularly and want one file that actually works well, this is a great buy.

A bit smaller than I anticipated, also a bit poorer quality than you would expect from Germany, a little disappointing.

Bought these not for traveling, but because I keep a nail grooming kit near my usual spot on the couch to quickly handle those manicure needs. It needed to be small enough to keep in the container, which is on the smaller size. This work perfectly! The fact that it comes with a sheath for extra protection while in the container is great! No damage the the wooden container either inside it nor from the other tools damaging the file. It does a mighty fine job of shaping and filing nails. I'm really impressed with the grit quality on the file, it definitely feels luxurious! When it's time to replace, I will be buying the same one again!

Seems to work well. It's smaller than I was expecting from the pictures which are not in any way to scale with the hand shown. To be fair they do have the measurements. Just be aware this is a dainty little file.

Nice nail file, have never seen one like it

This is my second order of this particular nail file. My first one has been used for many years and I felt it might be time to replace it. Here are three reasons I reordered it: 1. I love the little case that it comes with. The file "clicks" closed when I am through using it and there are no worries about accidentally jabbing myself when I take it out of my purse! 2. As my first reason suggests, I keep this nail file in my purse at all times. Its handy for when I snag a nail or have a few extra minutes to refresh my manicure. 3. It has two distinct sides: One to actually file my nails and one to smooth out the nail edges. 4. Its small but the size in no way diminishes its effectiveness. The small size is a real advantage, in my opinion. It does everything larger nail files do but fits easily into small storage spaces such as a purse or glove compartment. You can even keep it in your pocket because the case protects your clothing. This is a quality product and I highly recommend it!
