Skye & Ross

Hard to subjectively write about music but the product came unscathed and in perfect condition, fantastic cover/inner sleeve, great album that just made me want to listen over and over. I'm an audiophile with a pretty decent system, most importantly it is a good quality press with great dynamics.

Skye and Ross are fantastic. This album stayed in rotation at work for ages.

If you loved early Morcheeba then this release is certainly for you. A nice return to their trip hop beginnings.

I really like this album. It sounds like the Morcheeba I remember of old. Even being only 2/3rds of the lineup, this is the most solid work the collective has done since Charango. The album is short and sweet with 10 solid tracks, no throw away tracks. If you are a Morcheeba fan, do yourself a favor and give this a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Long time Morcheeba fan. A few songs on this album are very much like the Morcheeba I know - other songs seem to be missing a layer. It's hard to be precise and put into words, but I find most of the songs lacking in the depth and texture that for me made Morcheeba, Morcheeba. Ich hab zwar den Schritt von Morcheeba zu Skye&Ross nicht so ganz verstanden, ist aber eigentlich auch nebensächlich wenn die Qualität der Darbietung und des musikalischen Stils beibehalten wurden. Schon bei dem Freiheits Festival 2015 in Brüssel wie auch dem letzten Konzert in Köln 2016 sind Skye & Ross als Skye/Ross from Morcheeba aufgetreten. In beiden Konzerten war es Morcheeba in aller bester Güte.Die neue LP ist, wie alle anderen Scheiben von Morcheeba, Extraklasse. Garantierte Hitmaker wie auch Material das erst beim zweiten Zuhören so richtig Ohrgängig wird. Da ich ausschließlich Vinyl Scheiben höre, gilt die Rezenssion natürlich auch nur dafür. Die Hülle und LP sind was für die Augen und passen zur Musik. Ganz klare Empfehlung: kaufen und genießen

Album décevant, en demi-teinte, il manque vraiment quelque chose, dans les compositions, les arrangements, la production. On a parfois l'impression que les 2 ne se connectent pas, que Skye chante toute seule avec un guitariste qui a du mal à occuper un espace sans son frère, alter- ego indispensable et ici cruellement manquant. En témoigne la durée très courte de l'album qui aurait pu être plus rock du fait de l'importance donnée à la guitare par rapport à la voix, mais même pas, on dirait qu'ils ne savent pas trop vers où aller. Morcheeba est un vrai groupe en trio, cet album en témoigne, ici du sous-Morcheeba un peu fade et inachevé...

Tolles Album, tolle Künstler. Dafür gibt es 5 Sterne. Das Vinyl ist ungenügend, da es einen enormen Höhenschlag hat. Die Pressqualität lässt leider zu wünschen übrig!

A l'origine j'aime beaucoup morcheeba et la c'est un des meilleurs album des deux principaux de morcheeba.je conseille donc car parmi les meilleures compositions.
