Back Support Systems Knee-T Leg Pillow, Patented, Side Sleepers, Pro, High

I can't believe someone finally got it right. I have used knee pillows on and off for years because I have chronic lower back pain. I am 40 years old and like to be active but sometimes back pain makes it very difficult to do so. Sleeping with a knee pillow helps me be active because it reduces my pain. I have had so many over the years and they all suck! They go flat and limp almost immediately and they are covered with some cheap scratchy fabric, don't stay in place, stink like chemicals etc... All of them, really all of them, some are better then others but they all fail sooner than later. THAT IS WHY I LOVE THIS PILLOW. Really, I am not one to gush about a stupid pillow but this one is GREAT! I am just so happy with this purchase that I had to write. This is why: Pillow is firm and does not let my knees or ankles touch and I the foam is way more resilient than any other pillow I have owned (I don't think it is going to break down), it is designed perfect, it is so comfortable that I don't even think about it being on at night, elastic strap that keeps pillow in place, even when I roll to my other side (very cool), soft but firm, great durable cover, and last but not least, it doesn't smell. I bought another one at the same time on Amazon and it just stinks like toxic foam. Anyhow, best pillow I have ever owned and makes it enjoyable to sleep with, thanks guys for making a high quality product ( I would have paid 3x for it now that I know). ***UPDATE*** 8/29/13---I just found out that this company offers a 100% memory foam version of this very same knee pillow. I have chronic back pain caused by nerve inflammation (sciatica) and pressure mainly caused while sleeping in painful positions. This knee pillow fixes all that. I have tried many (the last one, i had to air out for a week because it smelled like toxic plastic) but this one is outstanding and is apparent that the shortcomings of most knee pillows were considered and solved by this knee pillow. First of all, it is super comfortable. Up until now I have simply "used" knee pillows and dealt with the uncomfortable nature of their use, but now I LOVE to use this KNEE-T, it is so comfortable. In fact, even if I did not have sciatica, I would use this pillow because it keeps my knees and ankles from touching each other and it is a perfect density to be really comfortable and also keep my legs and knees separated. I am testifying, this company got it right! I love this product and I am telling everyone about it (nobody cares, but I am telling them anyway). Oh yeah, also the cover is really nice, it is soft and easily removable (have not yet, but checked it out)and the strap to keep it in place is very comfortable. In fact, I cannot really feel it is on, but the pillow stays in place. Well, enough gushing about this product, I guess the only downside about this product would be if I had to pay the retail price, but now that I know, I would even pay retail. Good luck with your back pain, if you have pain then buy this, you won't regret it. On the positive side this knee pillow is thick, sturdy and your knees/legs will not compress it and touch. On the downside, because it is so big if you toss and turn from side to side this thing drags the blankets with it and need repositioned when you move around. This is a bit difficult to keep up with when sleeping so becomes uncomfortable. The strap helps but gets stretched out of shape easily only worsening the movement of the pillow when you move. I have stopped using it as a knee pillow and actually use it as back support when sitting up in bed watching TV. It is very thick and works pretty well for extra back support...If you don't toss and turn you'll love the product.

I am a side sleeper seeking support for both my knees & ankles. This missed the mark in many, many ways. First, the product images are misleading. Some show 1 leg strap and some show 2. I mentally latched on to the 2 strap images because I thought this was a smart way to keep the pillow properly positioned. I received a pillow with just 1 strap, and sure enough the pillow does not stay positioned at the ankle because it is missing the second strap. If you roll over in the night, it will 100% wake you up as it flops haphazardly around. Next, the "sherpa" lining is a cheap scratchy polyester that does not look or feel like sherpa material in the slightest. Additionally, the pillow is not near dense enough to provide any real support. Lastly, this thing is grossly overpriced. If it were at a price point of say $15 then I honestly still would have returned it but at least the price would not be as laughable. Needless to say, I sent the pillow back.

I got this delivered yesterday, last night was my first night using it & I must say it was worth every penny. I have an as of yet undiagnosed hip problem that's been going on for over a year now (& I'm not that old, just turned 43). I could even lay down for a few minutes on my side & would be in excruciating pain when I'd go to move. Any external rotation of my hip has been unbearable. It normally takes me a few minutes to turn over, then another few to get out of bed. A couple days ago it was so bad I was literally in tears. Today was the first time, in a very long time that I was pretty much able to bounce out of bed. Normally it'd take me a few minutes to get to walking w/less of a limp & I was able to walk my dogs with no problems this morning. I'm not sure if I was limping or not, as it happens all the time, so I really didn't notice. I don't normally leave gushing reviews, and certainly not right away, but this pillow helped so much, it was amazing. And I've tried many different kinds. I debated whether or not to get the memory foam one & decided to save myself $20, especially since I wasn't sure if it's really help or not. I'll have to update again on a few days to see how it's still working. Right now, I'm just happy I was able to get out of bed without excruciating pain.

I've been using this pillow for about 9 months now - originally to help reduce stress on a knee injury I suffered last year, and then found myself continuing to use it when I noticed it helping with a long-time back injury. During the period where my knee was recovering the pillow helped a LOT to reduce sideways pressure on the joint, which had been a primary source of discomfort while trying to sleep. (I'd tried a few of the shorter knee-only pillows before I got this one, but since i'm a side sleeper the short pillows actually increased the sideways pressure on the knee joint and made it hurt more. Having support along the entire lower leg like this pillow provided was much better for my injury and sleep habits.) As the knee healed and stopped being a nuisance at night, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also reduced pain from an old back injury. It wasn't a miracle cure that made the back pain vanish or anything, but it made a noticeable difference in how many times I was waking up during the night to shift positions. Overall I've been very happy I picked this pillow up. I'll admit - from the laundry perspective it'd sometimes be nice if I could pick up a second cover for the pillow, but it's not something I'd deduct any points over.

Followed another reviewers advise and got the pro with the 2 straps. (Be Cool with Bamboo, Pro) Pros: 22.5 x 10 x 4 inches is the perfect size and perfect width. No too hard and not to soft, just right Cons: The cover started shredding after just a few nights. The price, very expensive. I tried many types of pillows and this fit my needs. Helps with sciatica and works better than a regular pillow. I thought I may use the 2 straps to keep it in place, turns out I find the straps are annoying. Ended up using a regular pillow case to cover the shredding cover. Held in place with with a rubber band. Doesn't look too pretty but it works great.

I took others' reviews about how "you get what you pay for" on this type of product to make my decision to buy this and thank God I did! I just got this yesterday so only used for 1 night and I woke up today 98% pain free! I slept the whole night without constantly having pain wake me up. No tossing and turning either. I needed it because I have hip/lower back pain. It is nice & soft, comfortable and I like that it supports my foot as well. I would definitely recommend this. It was worth the money.
