Lou Ana Premium Buttery Oil, 1 Gallon

I’ve tried other popcorn butter but this is tasty just like the movies but at home

Louanna popping oil is AWESOME!!! I have been on a long journey to find the perfect popping oil/topping to achieve the very elusive flavor of Movie Theater popcorn and I am happy to say that this oil is the absolute answer. This oil in combination with Flavacol Buttery popping salt and coconut oil is so close to Movie Theater popcorn that I believe most people will be extremely happy! Great freshness, taste and quality. My suggestion is this oil with your favorite Popcorn, about 1/4 teaspoon coconut oil, a shake or two of Flavacol buttery popcorn salt. Make sure you start with hot oil! Tip; heat oil with Flavacol buttery popcorn salt until it starts to smoke, then add popcorn and as soon as popping gets really going, turn off heat and pop until the popping slows way down and you are ready for a taste treat!!! Try it, you will see! You're welcome!!!!

I have some pretty mixed feelings about this oil that we specifically ordered from Amazon. We used this product previously but it was purchased from a food service store locally. It tastes wonderful when popping your kernels in it in one of the old fashioned popcorn makers which we do every Friday in our office. I could not imagine using it as a buttery topper though, definitely too oily but I'm also not one to put butter on my popcorn either so take that for what it's worth.So this last time we ran out I ordered the oil through Amazon and it just tastes...off. It's kind of like a strange chemical taste in the background. It even makes a sort of weird smell when we're popping it. It's not inedible, we're still using it, but it's just not quite the same as what we had ordered previously. I think this gallon tastes less buttery as well. It's not expired though, so it's a mystery.I'm giving this a 4 star because we really like the product, I'm just not sure if maybe we got a bad or old batch.

I have used many different oils for popping and topping. I have to say that I really don't like using oils for topping afterwards as so far I have yet to find something that is exactly like the theater.With that said, this stuff is perfect for popping, while adding that buttery flavor. If you use enough, it will not only pop your popcorn, but it will also make it buttery. You have to find the right mix, and when you do it is perfect.I have tried doing half Lou Ana and half Coconut, and have had good results that way too.

This is it guys. The hunt is over, this is what they use in theaters, and it tastes amazing. Seriously, the taste is 10/10. I had a friend randomly try the popcorn i made with this as the topping, and he said "wow it tastes just like the movie theater." It has such a rich flavor that takes the popcorn above and beyond.The only reason why im giving it 4 stars is because of the price. An individual gallon of this should not cost more than 12 dollars. A case of 4 gallons can be found elsewhere for 38 dollars, putting each gallon at under 10 bucks. if you buy it here, you are paying more than double what it is worth.In conclusion, product is as described and taste is 10/10, but can be found cheaper elsewhere.

of course we needed to find out what kind the local movie theaters used, so that we could offer the very best popcorn in our baseball concession stand this summer. It did not disappoint and the popcorn is the best that it's ever been! Great choice for the best popcorn ever!

Worth the money.
