It's been 24 hrs that I have had it. And immediately I must say if your don't have some tech knowledge it won't be easy to connect. At least it wasn't for me. Instructions with the camara and the app are not the same to connect. After a dozen tries to connect the camara I finally did it. If you have 5g and 2.4 wifi make sure you are connected to the 2.4 before you begin to set it up. Once I got it to connect I could not figure out why it wouldn't recognise that it had a memory card. Could not get that to work till the next morning after hundreds of resetting it finally worked. Now that it is working it's good. Camara has a nice clear picture. App is nice. The app keeps sending me notifications even tho I keep setting motion to off it turns it self back to on. Only problem it have with it. To end the review I'd like to say that the only thing I dislike is the fact you can only view footage thru wifi. Can connect directly to camara if the wifi isn't working. I would actually give it 3.5 stars. And if it can be upgraded so I can view it by connecting directly to the camara and instructions are a little more easily to understand for to novice users and some kind of consumer help I'd give 5 stars.

Very easy set-up that took me only 5 minutes after allowing it to charge for 24 hours. Only tool required is a small pen to press the reset button which is included in the box. I had to have The camera plugged into power outlet to set it up. The picture is very clear and it covers the entire room. I was under the impression that the camera would be wireless UNTIL charging, at which time the charging cable (which is very long and also included ) would be plugged in. After charging/set-up and unplugging to use, NO ACTION! It only worked for me while plugged in. The red and green lights constantly flashing made it hard to disguise the camera even behind a plant or picture frame. The free App thats used with the camera allowed me to see what my puppy was doing while I was at work and I did not have to be on Wi-Fi. If you want a hidden camera, this is not it but if you just want a really good surveillance camera to watch your pets or kids, it's good for the price!

The main reasons I got this camera: 1) Motion detection recording for security and 2) Motion alert forwarding messages without the pain of push notifications/setup through email providers. So far neither of these work on the app for Android. I have it set up exactly as the manual states and have messed with the settings for a couple hours now. The alert is turned on, memory card in the camera, and all the motion detections setting set (even on high sensitivity). Still no alerts. Also continuous video record doesnt work. With memory cars in camera if you enable record it will stop recording if the app runs in background or your phone sleeps (basically you have to keep the app and video open). Will give this two more days then back to Amazon it goes. No customer service number or email in the manual either. Also the Help menu is a blank screen on the app.

I've really liked the camera in all respect (Cute Size, East Installation, 5v Power, Motion Detect, Recording) but the picture/video quality is not at all good as expected. Based on the price of the camera, I expected much better quality video/picture. Aww! the night vision mode is horrible. Cannot even identify a person. I wish I could replace the camera with a better quality one. My other camera (2/3 Megapixels) worth >$50< gives more better video / picture.Sorry, for the low rated review but I wish your company should go further with better quality cameras. Your cooperation will be highly solicited and appreciated. I would've taken more cameras for my apartment areas if the picture quality was crystal clear.Wishing you all the best.

This camera is smaller than I expected. The size is similar to a macbook charger. The process of setup is simple. Download the Coolcam app, register an account, add the camera via the app, done. The 360 degree view is pretty cool. It’s easy to switch between different viewing modes. I like the default mode best as it can make me feel like standing in the center and looking around. Seems like it's able to work with VR glasses, but I’m still figuring. It will be awesome if that works. The app is easy to use, and it has some useful functions like share device, positioning, and alert schedule. Also, it has common features like many other ip cameras nowadays have, such as night vision, motion detection alert, two-way audio, and video and voice recording. Video recording works good, but it would be better if there were options for 7x24 and motion detection recording. In addition, it is powered by a 5v 1.5A dc power supply. That means a regular power bank can handle it. So I'm gonna take it outside for fun before installing at home.

There are some things ppl need to know. 1) Not battery operated and needs to be kept plugged in. This means you have a cord down your wall. 2) You MUST have an Micro SD card to use all of its great features. Make sure to order one. 3) When it senses motion a light begins blinking on the camera (so its not a camera you can keep hidden). If you can get past these things it is a great camera, takes great, clear images, and has some great features. Very easy to setup and use.

I have 6 of these around the house and they are great! No problems installing and no problems with the app.It sometimes takes a bit to adjust to the light differences, but for me it is good enough to keep an eye on the cats.It does not have night vision. If you want to see what's going on at night you will need to have at least a lamp on.I would buy again and would also recommend them.

I enjoy yelling "get back to work" to my wife from the two way audio while I am at work. She loves this, as you can imagine. I took off a star (but should be two) because the video on SD card, when replayed through the app, is not in order. If you swipe back a few minutes it shows hours/days ago.
