This is not a heavy duty envelope. This is a basic light weight envelope. Its perfect for in office use for small documents. It works for me. One thing I don’t like is that the adhesive on the bottom flap is not sealed all the way in some. And the adhesive on the main top flap is not sticky enough, so if you need to secure your documents, just put tape on the top and bottom. Overall, I would probably order again until I find some better quality affordable envelopes.

I ship stamps and postcards this way and it lowers my cost to offer free shipping. Excellent value. The adhesive is not good but I put on a Do Not Bend sticker on the flap. All of my customers have raved about the consistent and safe packaging. Great product!

Overall these envelopes are very good. The adhesive doesn’t go to the edge of the flap, though. It’s probably fine but it makes me a little nervous about it opening in transit, so I add a few inches of packing tape just to be sure.

I am super disappointed with my purchase. AmazonBasics stuff has generally been very good quality. This is my first bad review for the self branded product. I would not buy these again. I have to tape down the flap just to make sure it stays. Do not trust the glue if you are mailing anything.

I was reading about poor adhesion by some reviewers and ordered just one box to try. It worked fine and I ordered two more. What a mistake! Every single flap opened up, now I have 500 promotional envelopes, labeled and stamped that need to be either glued or taped. What a wasted of my staff time! DO NOT BUY THEM unless you want to play lottery with quality. Very disappointing.

Envelopes that won’t stay sealed are useless for mailing, every envelope needs strong tape to keep closed. You should NEVER use for mail without sealing with strong tape as the adhesive is almost non-existent.I regret buying these envelopes and do not recommend them unless for simple storage or filing where a seal isn’t required.

I tried using these envelopes to mail calendars and they barfed their contents all over my trunk before I got to the post office.The envelopes themselves are great, provided you either a) don't need to close them, b) aren't mailing anything heavy or important, or c) are willing to tape them closed.The adhesive doesn't extend close enough to the edge of the flap to prevent peeling, and isn't sticky enough to stay closed if turned upside-down for a moment.

If something is AmazonBasics, I usually buy it right away, always good quality and value. but amazon is so eager to push their own stuff that they are marketing their products on completely unrelated products' pages. I was shopping for bubble mailers, and amazon recommended these. I ordered them without realizing they have no padding! Now I have to return and amazon is charging me $10 shipping to return a $20 product. frustrating.
