UPDATED REVIEW: I have updated my star rating, based on the excellent support and out reach of InnoView customer service. They did clarify that this particular model did not include the power adapter. They also offered to provide a carry case, to help make up for the confusion over the adapter. I received the carry case in a matter of a few days, and was very impressed with their excellent customer outreach. Based on the fact that this is an exceptional portable monitor, and their excellent customer service. I have revised my rating back to a five star rating. . ——————— As a monitor this is a great monitor. High Definition, Vivid display with great colors, Speakers Adequate, and settings buttons easy to use and fairly straight forward. So as a monitor, I am happy - for either duplicate or extended display. And with videos and games, fairly smooth. So why only 3 stars. My problem - what is apparently included is misleading. As my computer is not able to power this monitor over USB-C, I knew I would need power adapter as well. When I inquired on Amazon Page in the question section, I asked what was included. It indicated - 2 USB cables, HDMI cable, power adapter, smart cover, cloth, warranty, instructions. What did I get - 1 USB-C cable, 1 HDMI cable, and instructions. NO USB A-C, NO Power Adapter, No Case Cover, no Screen Cloth. So, I was not even able to use it initially, as it required a power adapter that would supply 15 watts (5 volts 3 Amps), which I did not have. SO, I had to pay more money to purchase an adapter that would power it. I expected a monitor that would be ready to use. For me it was not, without spending more money. It is very light weight, and again a fantastic monitor, just be aware that if your computer can not power it, you may need to get a power adapter for it. And if you are moving it around with you, you might want to get an external case for it, as mine did not include one. I would not recommend without these clarifications first.

Awsome product! Everywhere I take this portable monitor people as amazed that you can play games as small as super smash bros ultimate to games as large as tekken 8 by connecting a switch or ps5 to it. Now the nitty gritty details. The screen is very durable, but the aluminum that encases it is prone to scratches. The kickstand works, but it positions the screen at an awkord angle to look at. All ports are funcional and easy to keep clean. Its tricky at first to acess the devices settings but with practice you eventually get the hang of it. Very portable and fits anywhere, even in a school backpack. The screen is prone to bending, so plese take care of the fragile frame to prevent this. But even bent it will still project great images at 60 fps. Make sure to use the promo codes and gifts that innoview adds in the users manual. Thanks for reading.

This product is one of the best purchases I've made!! I work from home so having an extra monitor for my small work laptop is a must. It's so easy to set up and plug in and setting up the extended display on my computer settings wasn't difficult either. I absolutely love the quality AND the size of the monitor. The brightness is great too, I have a rare eye disease so having a good display is important for my eyes and this works well for me. The power source comes from it being connected to your laptop which is convenient so there's not another cord to worry about. It's an HDMI cord and a C cord that plugs into the laptop and that's all which is convenient. It also comes with its own protective cover and stand which is also very nice. It's not thick either which is a plus for me cause it saves on space. The connection is easy as well and comes with some instructions. Overall I'm amazed at the cost because of how nice of a monitor it is. Happy customer!

I absolutely love this monitor—the picture is vibrant and crystal clear. It's lightweight, and while the stand is a bit finicky, it's still far better than the folded case style I've seen on other models. One downside is that it doesn't come with a carrying case, so I'll need to purchase one separately. I deducted one star because an adapter wasn’t included, requiring an additional purchase. Despite that, I would buy from this company again, though next time I'll make sure the model I choose comes with everything it needs. Overall, this was a great purchase! Setup was simple—just plug and play.

This monitor is the perfect companion to my macbook pro. Its size and thinness makes it light and easy to add to my bag with macbook. I am learning to code so I put instructional video on the monitor and I practice writting code on my macscreen. The settings on the mac allow me to use this monitor vertically. I am does not support that natively , but the macbook display settings lets me do it, if i need to. Mostly i just use it horizontally like in my picture. No glare on the screen. it works with JUST ONE CABLE connected to my Mac. You need to choose the correct USB-C port on the mac to get full brightness without plugging in the aditional power cord to the monitor. When the port does not provide enough power you will still be able to use it, but brightness will default to level"30" and that is fine for indoor use. With the correct port on the Mac, the monitor will be able to display full brightness(100). Its truely an economical and quality way to extend your screen real estate! You really don't need anything more expensive. i have tried others more expensive, and the quality is the same or less. and those monitors are heavier or harder to carry around. Thanks INNOVIEW!

I've just recently purchased this InnoView Portable Monitor for Laptop, and I'm very satisfied with it, so far. I cannot yet speak to the longevity of this monitor, because I've only had it for a few weeks, and I have not yet had occasion to use it for travel, which is the primary reason I purchased it. However, what I can say is that it is a very nice monitor that connects easily to my notebook computer, using two cords provided by the company (using one cord for video and another cord to draw power from my notebook computer). The company also provides a third cord for separate power to the monitor, if needed; I don't need that, but it's nice to have. I'd thought I'd be able to just use one cord to connect the monitor to my computer, but I'm fine with the two cord connection. The color, resolution, etc. of the monitor are fine. No problem. It's not top quality, but for the price it is very reasonable and not a problem at all. What I really like, too, are: the monitor has a matte finish, which is what I wanted, and which I don't think a lot of monitors have; and that the monitor has a very good protective cover that doubles as a very sturdy monitor stand that provides two different angle positions. In addition, the customer service has been excellent. I've had a few small questions, and company representatives have gotten back to me very quickly.

Very disappointed with this monitor. It arrived defective and does not work. The screen keeps showing **“No Signal” ** and then goes into **Saving Mode**. I have tried different connections and troubleshooting steps, but nothing has worked. I expected the monitor to work right out of the box, but unfortunately, it has been a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this product based on my experience. Very upset!

I bought this INVPM406 for my wife to use as a second monitor for her MacBook Pro, 16-inch, 32GB, 2.3GHz Intel Core i9, with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB, and Big Sur (11.7.3). Currently, I have a USB-C to HDMI adapter plugged into the USB-C port on the MacBook, and an HDMI to Mini HDMI cable connected between the adapter and the mini HDMI port on the INVPM406. I went through the INVPM406’s menu and configured it so it displays colors almost identically to how they’re displayed on my wife’s Mac, and the two settings that helped most in accomplishing that goal were setting ECO to “Game” and Tone to “57”. Perhaps there are other, better ways of accomplishing the goal, but that worked for me. One mistake I made early in the process was that I think I must have pressed the INVPM406’s power button or menu button, or both, too long or maybe together (I don’t remember which), and somehow I got the it into factory mode. In factory mode, I discovered that you can use the INVPM406 pretty much as you normally would, and you can still make a lot of different display adjustments through the factory mode menu, but you can also do other things, such as enable burn-in operation, and other things that would typically only be done in the factory as part of the manufacturing and testing process. I wanted to get the INVPM406 out of factory mode because I couldn’t get the display to look the way I wanted in that mode, and I didn’t want to waste a lot of time trying to figure out how to do so by trial and error, so I contacted InnoView using the e-mail address on page one of the INVPM406 user manual. I got an E-mail from Ethan within 24 hours, which is much quicker than I expected, and he included a brief procedure on how to exit factory mode, which I tried and it worked perfectly on the first try. BTW, I also connected the INVPM406 to my Samsung Galaxy S8+, and it looked fantastic. I really like this monitor, and the price and customer service are amazing.
