Good loom for beginners
I purchased this for my 9 yr old crafty grandson who had expressed an interest in weaving when he saw me using my loom. He easily picked up the craft on this Natl Geographic loom. The only thing I wish is that the loom were a bit larger. This being said howevver, I've actually used the loom to weave coasters, LOL. The product is good if you want an all-in-one loom, yarn and pattern instructions. Good for kids 9+.

Clear instructions
Not only did I begin learning to weave using this kit, and I'm 55, but I was able to teach the basic concepts to children ages 4 & 6. Absolutely would recommend!!!

Needs improvement
I bought this for my almost 9-year-old grandson because he expressed interest in doing a yarn craft. I took off two stars because the yarn needs to be better quality. The cut ends of the yarn unravel very easily. I helped by getting the yarn started and even I had trouble keeping the ends together. Weaving is more an involved craft and even though this is a simple kit, my grandson didn’t really have the patience for it. I’m hoping he will give it another go though.

Got it for my 10 yr old grandson. He loved it! His momma asked me to get it for Christmas gift. He is all boy, sports and such, but also loves crafty things.

Great project and past time for preteens
Great project for my 12 year old on rainy days or when she’s got some time- she has yet to complete a project but enjoys the learning process.
