Very sturdy and well built
Recommend this scooter - very solid - my 65 pound son loves it. I weigh 220 and can climb on it with no issues. Seems very well built and durable plus the large wheels are nice to have.

Dang!
What isn't there to like? Great built quality, smooth ride, nice folding system, and some killer aesthetics. I highly recommend this bad boy to anyone looking for a really good scooter that won't break the metaphorical bank.

Good quality, great fun!
Likes: Great quality and feels solid underneath my 160 lb body. Wheels roll smooth and anti-rattle quick hindge works pretty good. Relatively light to carry. Tons of fun to ride!!! Dislikes: grips were small for my hands but I have slightly larger than typical hands (I can palm a basketball), I can carve into turns like I can with my Razor scooter with small wheels, foot brake works fine on flat surfaces but be careful if you decide to try cruising down a downhill slope!!

Anti-rattle screw doesn't work
The scooter I received is quite rattly, and the "anti-rattle" screw doesn't work at all. I guess I received a defective unit, because although the screw turns, it doesn't do anything - it never tightens up against the frame as intended. The photo shows the screw fully tightened, and it doesn't even touch the frame. I have asked the seller for a replacement and will update the review if the issue is resolved. But other than that - I have a Micro adult scooter, purchased about 5 years ago, that is much better quality. It's more substantial and provides a smooth, non-rattly ride without any "anti-rattle screw" gimmick. This Razor is okay as a a kid's toy, but not anywhere near the quality of the Micro.

Great for short business commutes, scooting across a corporate campus.
The new “anti-rattle” knob on this works great, but does make it slightly more cumbersome to fold. I use this to commute between buildings on our work campus, just over 1/2 mile. It works great. The urethane wheels are smooth and do great on smooth pavement. Not perfect on bumpy asphalt, and you need to be careful on cracked sidewalks or else you’ll go straight over the handlebars. Don’t be an idiot: wear a helmet, even if you’re a business commuter. It’s a decent workout going up a small grade. You’ll feel it in your thigh - like holding a 1-legged squat for a long time. But it’s great for what I need, and it’s great for the price. I chose this over an electric scooter or our city bike share because, with the time to unlock/undock and lock/dock a scooter or bike, it’s no faster than walking. This is small and light enough (about 8lbs) that I can fold it up and bring it with me to my office. I’m thinking of fashioning a nylon shoulder strap if I can figure out where and how to attach it.

Great value!
I'm a 6ft, 75kg adult and use the scooter to accompany my young son for short journeys to the park etc. Its much more fun than walking or jogging along behind him! At under $80 (with a 20% discount) the Razor A5 DLX represents amazing value for money. The build quality is good and allows for light weight, minimal rolling resistance, easy folding and almost no annoying rattles or vibrations. There are definitely scooters out there with a sturdier build that will probably offer more durability in the long run, but they cost 2-3x the price. There are two improvements that I'd recommend for adult use (1) the bar clamp is only a single bolt and doesn't inspire confidence for heavier riders where there will be greater forces on this area - I've replaced this with a 2 bolt version for about $12 and its noticeably sturdier (2) the bar grips are designed for child sized hands at only 100mm (70mm for the central part you hold). Replaced with soft foam MTB grips which are 130mm wide for $5. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Great for bigger kids
My 11 year old and his friend unpacked these and they were off in minutes. I got one for each of them. They have been through a few scooters as they have gotten bigger. They were both very pleased with the quality. They seem durable. We’re all happy with the purchase.

Loved by my 6 Year Old Granddaughter
My granddaughter tools around on this scooter like it's part of her. She absolutely loves it. Pressing on the rear "fender" to brake took her a while to get used to but now that she's got it there's no stopping her. It seems to be very well made.

The big wheels soak up cracks in the footpath. And these wheels roll a long way with just one push. Nice long glide. I like the low riding platform which gives a low centre of gravity. This was one of my key considerations given the inherent instability of such scooters. The riding platform itself is really only long enough for one or your feet and maybe a toe of the other - which can then allow the heel to act on the brake. I wouldn't like to ride more than a couple of kms. Build quality is good and solid.

I’ve used scooters my whole life. I’m in my 30’s now. This scooter is everything it claims to be and more. Super solid, really quiet, smooth ride and just a tonne of fun. Has a really fun but mature look to it I think. Highly recommended

Great alloy body so shouldn’t rust. The locking device also has a knob to tighten up the scooter so it doesn’t rattle. Really good for an adult or teenager.
