Good support with a solid design
This thumb and wrist brace does a good job overall. The build quality feels solid, and the materials seem durable. I like that it has multiple adjustable straps, which make it easy to get a secure and customized fit. The support is noticeable, especially when you need to limit movement and give your wrist or thumb some rest. It feels stable without being overly rigid, which is a nice balance. Comfort-wise, it’s decent — not the most lightweight option, but still wearable for extended periods. It might take a little time to get used to, especially if you haven’t worn a brace before. Overall, a reliable option if you’re looking for extra wrist and thumb support.

Dr. Arthritis Carpal Tunnel Wrist...
I’ve been using this wrist brace for carpal tunnel support, and it has really helped reduce discomfort and improve stability in my wrist. It feels comfortable to wear, adjustable, and gives good support without being too bulky. Great for typing, daily tasks, or sleeping at night. So far, I’m very satisfied with the quality and comfort.

Very well-made, breathable, supportive product that arrived fast
I purchased two of these Dr. Arthritis thumb braces in pink. They can be used on either hand which is nice. I planned on wearing them on both hands at night. The left hand that suffers from trigger thumb from using a push lawn mower is benefiting from it, great for thumb immobility overnight so that thumb is not all locked up in the morning like before. However, My right hand suffers from Dequervains Wrist Tenosynovitis. I have carpal cysts and Dequervains nodules on that wrist above my thumb (from a lifetime of working with my hands and using scissors everyday), exactly where the splints sit. The splints press on them, causing pain. So regretfully I am returning one of the braces. Even though the splints have Velcro covers over the sleeve pockets (unlike other braces), they still tend to dig into my wrists. The wrist-end of the brace moves around a lot, even when it is cinched down as tight as I can stand it. It would be great to have a long version of this brace for both wrist and thumb stability. A little more padding would be wonderful if it did not cut down on breathability. One really nice feature is that my hand does not sweat or overheat as it does with my black Futuro brace. The workmanship is beautiful and incredibly meticulous. As a sewist myself, I can totally appreciate the intricate detail and design, the high quality materials, the soft, breathable fabric choices, and no loose threads (like on my Futuro brace). The materials are very soft and comfortable. The pink colors of all the various parts are a bit different but in an attractive way. I absolutely love the pink color -- great to have a fun color choice rather than drab black, grey or flesh, something that coordinates a little more with my wardrobe. :~> I love the middle cinch that tightens back on itself for an exacting tightness. I attach that one first in order to keep the brace in position while tightening the thumb and wrist tabs. I can still move the tip of my thumb, but am able to minimize this by adjusting the thumb tab higher. So there is room for customizing the fit if you want to be able to use your thumb. I am typing this review with the brace on and it doesn't slow me down too much. Although the fabrics in this brace are soft, breathable and wonderful, I wish there was even more padding in certain places, such as at the wrist where the splint ends and edging bother the sensitive inner forearm area. The brace comes with a handbook on arthritis which has been very helpful, and was one contributor to my decision to order Dr. Arthritis braces after doing extensive research. I definitely recommend this and hope that Dr. Arthritis will develop a longer thumb and wrist version soon!

Well made, quick pain relief!
Pink- I am an ICU nurse, and have had increasing pain and swelling of my thumb joint from over-use. This brace arrived a few days ago. So well made and comfortable for my right hand. I have large hands and it fits well. I agree the with the other reviews, the wrist strap velcro is very difficult to pull apart, so I slip over hand without adjusting each time. After one day, my thumb joint was less swollen and less painful. It is breathable, attractive and if you need to type or use your thumb with more range of motion, the thumb strap can be loosened. I love this. It is a great value, and a great product. Thank you, Dr. Arthritis!

May not be the answer if you need immobility.
This is a fantastic product and for all other reasons from looks to fit to comfort to support to the informative booklet that comes with it it should have earned a 5 plus stars. However, I purchased it for a trigger finger issue that my MD wanted kept completely the lower thumb joint immobile except when bathing. This brace has great quality velcro and even has the extra plam support strap many do not, but no matter what you do or how you adjust it short of putting an additional coban wrap around the thumb the velcro will not stay closed around the thumb if you do any activity mcu at all. Anything from gripping a glass or water to driving a car or lifting even a light object that velcro pops off and your thumb is free as if it was not an appliance at all. What I ended up doing was going to the fabric store and buying a length of 5/8ths width pink velcro (to match the splint) and fashion and additional thumb strap. Once the brace is on and in position and the thumb strap on the brace is in place I wap and secure the extra I bought, to itself, so when the thumb strap tried to pop off it cannot. It maybe something they should think about including for those who do need complete immobility while healing. And would I buy it again? Yes I would, even knowing I would need the extra strap because other than that issue its the best brace I have had for my hand and the most comfortable including a custom made orthotic a few years ago. If they solve the thumb securement issue they would actually have the most perfect bracing-support device on the market.

Fashionable Accessory That Fit and Really Helped
I was prepared to return this brace if it wasn’t what I needed. Fortunately, I didn’t have to. This brace helped me heal quickly and I didn’t have to go to PT after all. I’m embarrassed to say I got de Quervain’s tenosynovitis from a) typing on my phone too much and b) falling asleep on my hand while typing on my phone one night. I was in so much pain and needed to be able to type for work. This brace helped stabilize and support my thumb while I worked, and it was much cuter than your typical medical brace. I actually got compliments on it as if it were a fashion accessory, which distracted from the embarrassment of having to explain that I’m on my phone too much. The price was good (luckily my HSA covered it) and it fit my small hand perfectly. It was also more breathable than I expected.
